We believe speech therapy for aphasia should be conversational and fun. Here is an interesting video on humor and fun for aphasia therapy since it relaxes the therapist and client, and facilitates in most cases better speaking. The Teaching of Talking Method helps therapists and family members how to stimulate speech and language through a conversation and starting at the level where the person with aphasia is communicating and slowly building replies from a conversation of one word with gradual increments of words to phrases, sentences and finally spontaneous conversation. You can sign up for free lessons that will cover aphasia from "soup to nuts." Sign up so we can notify you of the free classes. https://bit.ly/2zVIkkl

Aphasia Speech Therapy Treatment in most cases is long term, and does not respond optimally to a few sessions a week or going to an "intensive program." It will require a great deal of speech help at home and loved ones are learning what to do, and are helping their loved ones talk throughout the day 24/7/365.

Here is a video that was previously recorded and there is a ton of wisdom within it. We all have a tendency to get set in our ways, and when that happens, many avoid doing anything new. However, it is always best to consider something new, especially when you are not getting the results you want. We are just finishing up the free lesson in the Teaching of Talking Method and will be announcing it to those on our mailing list. Please make sure you are on our mailing list for the free Teaching of Talking lesson. https://bit.ly/2zVIkkl Sign up here after watching the video.
