I already knew that it was approved, thanks to a previous email conversation with LG, but this makes it official. 

Now, the waiting game begins....

We made it! We funded! Now it's time to push to the stretch goal of $125k! So we can have Mycroft on the Linux desktop!

I almost hate to write this out, as we've been +T-Mobile  customers for darn near 10 years now. We have a family member who is going to be heading up to Canada for a week or so, and she wanted to make sure that she would be able to make and receive calls without incurring huge charges on our plan. So, the wife calls up T-Mobile customer support and asks about if our plan covers the whole "not gonna get charged international fees for visiting anywhere on the American continent" deal. It didn't, so we went ahead and added that. She asked the representative if that was going to make any other changes on our plan and was told that it would not.

 We had had the $80 SimpleChoice value family plan for quite some time, and really had no need to change it out. My line was an "add a line" with 5GB high speed data plus data stash, though a promo had been added by T-Mobile to upgrade my line to unlimited high speed data through the end of the year. I get a text message on the 21st from T-Mobile stating that my plan had changed....which seemed odd to me. I log on to check things out and it seems that our plan has changed to the 10GB for 4 lines deal, which increases the price of our plan by about 20 bucks over all. Which isn't what we requested, nor what we wanted.

The wife calls back in to see what happened and get things changed back. The rep changes things back to "what they were". Well, only they aren't. I've been downgraded to 2GB of data with no data stash. So she calls back, and she wasn't sure if I had 3GB or 5GB, but the representative insists that I was only on 3GB for $10, because the 5GB is $20. Sure, it is now....but it wasn't when I added the 5. (Seriously, can you NOT look back at some kind of audit trail to see what has changed? What about looking at the same old bills online that I can look at?! Good grief.) So now, I'm sitting with 2GB less data a month, no data stash, I've seemed to have lost the 10GB freebie stash that was given out - not to mention that I also had been given the "free unlimited data through the end of the year" promotion which is gone. I think I also had the tethering option, though I never used it, so that's fine.

So, that, on top of the fact that the last time that I reached out to the +T-Mobile  T-Force (or whatever you guys refer to yourselves) I was completely ignored (which, honestly, truly baffled me....you're normally awesome and I always promote your services to my friends and family) has us very seriously contemplating moving to another carrier. As much as I hate to say it.

+T-Mobile, I guess the ball is in your hands right now.

To my Lawrence people - what are your thoughts on AT&T? How about (shivver...) Verizon?
