I lament the fact that Fr. Barron did not talk explicitly about so-called same-sex marriage (SSM) before now on his YouTube channel (and not even in this video). There was a video about moral arguments vis-a-vis SSM, but nothing explicit came after that.

Two monumental reads on this topic have not been given enough coverage. The first is the book Adam and Eve After the Pill by Mary Eberstadt and the article "Bitter Pill" by Timothy Reichert at First Things (Journal). (FYI: The writings are not just about the Pill.)

Roe v. Wade has been overturned in two ways. First, both Roe and Doe have been turned into pro-life women. They both tried to petition SCOTUS to overturn their cases to no avail (see the movie "I Was Wrong"). Second, legally, the terms of Roe have been overturned, namely, from a fundamental right (strict standard of review) to non-fundamental right (undue-burden standard). Also, the trimester framework has been eliminated. However, the effect of Roe stands, of-course.

Mr. Moore claims to be Catholic, so he should know about the Catholic Tradition of just war. I claim to be Catholic, too; I also know that Liberal Tradition does not trump Catholic Tradition for faithful Catholics (Church Militant). If Moore has a beef with war/snipers as it comes to just war, that should be his argument, not by quoting Liberal Dogma (and breaking the 2nd commandment).

FYI. This reminded me of a book I just read by Prof. Kreeft from my local library, If Einstein had been a surfer : a surfer, a scientist, and a philosopher discuss a "universal wave theory" or "theory of everything". The book posits that coming up with a "theory of everything" will require more than physics, if the endeavor is possible at all in the first place.

"Al Gore backed bacon"? How about "Al Gore backed scrapple"? It contains all the leftover scraps that no one else wanted. // Playa sans swimsuit!! That's three languages in one -- brilliant!

Re. 4:26, Justice Kennedy didn't write that religious people could continue to "practice" religion on this issue. From Ch. Just. Roberts' dissent, (p. 28) "The majority’s decision imposing same-sex marriage cannot, of course, create any such accommodations. The majority graciously suggests that religious believers may continue to 'advocate' and 'teach' their views of marriage. The First Amendment guarantees, however, the freedom to 'exercise' religion. Ominously, that is not a word the majority uses."

The first Unitarian-Universalist POTUS does not know history very well. He should look up "The Real Inquisition: Investigating the popular myth" by history Prof. Thomas F. Madden (National Review Online) for true info on the Inquisition.

Serious question for you. Into what is the universe expanding? Nothing? Empty set? I have not been able to find any theories on this. Thanks.
The Expanding Universe, from the NASA publication "Dark Energy, Dark Matter"      How do you show young people that Christian belief is reasonable?  I’ve seen more and more over the years in which I have been teaching in Cat...

FYI on the subject of MLK: MLK's niece just had a book published called, King Rules: The Truths for You, Your Family, and Our Nation to Prosper. Perhaps the people in Ferguson might want to check it out. (It's in my local library, perhaps in their library, too.) At least they would stop the violence while reading. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they read books. Even comic books. Or those inserts in CD's. Or maybe articles on the internet, at least music lyrics. (Well, maybe not.)

Mr. Crowder, will you be doing a piece on this week's March for Life in DC? (I'll be there on Thurs, God willing.)

Thank you Fr. Barron for your video.

Celestial Dictator seems to be an apt title for God in one sense since God is the one Who dictated (and still maintains) Everything that was, is, or ever will be, in the context of the Theory of Everything or the United Field Theory. Of course, Hawking meant another focus of the title, but it seems that a fundamental analysis of the title would interest him as a corollary to a Theory of Everything.
