We love this place! My husband and I have been here several times to eat before walking across the street to see a movie. Margaritas are fresh and simple real ingredients, not a mix! Maybe the second best in town next to mine. :) Food is upscale for Mexican but extremely good. Ceviche and fajitas are amazing! And we have never had bad service here so not sure how anyone else had that experience. We highly recommend this place!

Came on recommendation from the Element hotel across the way, and wasn't expecting much because I figured it was a kickback, but was pleasantly surprised! Happy hour food/drink selection is fantastic (house margarita is totes decent). Service is... average, but I enjoyed the food enough to make up for it. I will certainly return, especially for happy hour.

Food is excellent, but the service was not good. We arrived early in the evening and were told there were no available tables on the nearly empty patio. The patio stayed empty throughout our meal. Other customers had the same problem, with no explanation from wait staff. Light bulbs were also being replaced while we ate. Too nice a place for that to be going on during business hours.

The first time I went was awesome the service was great and the food was good but we went for a late lunch. This past time I invited friends for brunch and the service was awful. Our waiter seemed to not want to serve us even though there were only 2 other tables in the section both who came in after us and were served before us. Our food was lukewarm and the overall experience was not pleasant. Next time we will be going elsewhere especially for brunch.

Cantina Laredo has been a staple in the Midtown Crossing area since it's opened. The food is standard Mexican, Tex-Mex Flair. The guacamole is served fresh and is made at your table. It's very tasty and one of the best around. It's a very trendy style dining establishment. There's a bar alone the windows that face out into the courtyard in the park. From there you can enjoy the skyline of Omaha. During the summer they have jazz on the Green in the park and you can easily watch and listen from the patio of Cantina Laredo. As I said the decor is trendy. It's a modern feel the large open dining room. There are a number of foods that they have their own twist on. The flavors are tasty but a little Bland for my palate. I prefer a much Bolder, spicier grab you by the Tongue and let you know the spices have arrived style. You can say they're flavoring is subtle. They're not trying to burn a hole in anyone's stomach. You want the food to be flavorful with just enough hint of spices to make everyone happy. If you're trying to find that Macho burn a hole through stainless steel type food you're going to have to find another place. Various drink specials and happy hours which is pretty common. There isn't one dish that really stands out in my mind as a signature dish that you must try. They do have some excellent hamburgers as well if you're just not feeling very Mexican that night. What are the great things about this area is the variety of things to see. You can stop in to the restaurant after or before going shopping. There's a movie theater just across the street which also has a lounge. it's a little bit silly and a little bit very Midwestern. All in all, Cantina Laredo is a good place to visit and take a date or your family. You won't be too disappointed with the food. You'll actually enjoy it. Give it a try.
