If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is not the place for you. The food is excellent, however and the place has a nice atmosphere. If you are around Midtown Crossing and hungry for a Latin-inspired food, you can't go wrong here.

Update: Totally went down hill since my first review (was 4 stars). They cut serving size so much that my kids would need to order 2 or 3 meals. Quality went way down hill too. Will not go back...

My top shelf Patron Margarita was way too sweet and had salt when I asked for no salt. When I asked for another one, apologizing if I was coming across as difficult, our server passive aggressively implied that I was indeed being difficult! The second drink was disgusting but I learned my lesson and kept quiet. The food is average. My low rating is not only due to this, but due to over all unfriendliness, and lack of visible management. Too bad because I really enjoy the outdoor seating.

Our hostess waited for us to tell her that we wanted a table for two, then it took approximately 25 minutes to have our orders taken. Food was delicious and came out in 8 minutes Service was good after we were initially met.

Service was quick. I had some special requests and all were met without a blink of the eye. OH...and it was half off Margaritas on the Thursday I was there. Can't beat that. This location is close to Turner Park so after dinner you can enjoy the park. There was also seating outside so you could people watch people in the park as well.

The food is pretty good but seems over priced for what you get.

Awesome food, awesome service. Adam is the man. Was here on business for a few months and he always kept me entertained when I was by myself. You rock, Adam!

Very disappointing. It is apparent as a restaurant owner myself that their is little or no management here. When we got there the hostess never greeted us so we had to ask her if we can get a table. Here is a hint managers; all it takes is a " how you doing? I'll be right with you." So immediately we felt uncomfortable. Once seated we sat for 10 minutes before we actually got a wait staff to approach us. We ordered our drinks and four waters. Chips and two salsas were brought two our table but no explanation on which one was spicier, what's in them, etc...We got our drinks, (after asking where they were) but one of the glasses we requested had a soapy taste. We literally had to yell for the waitress as 15 minutes had gone by and she had never came back. Also I might add she would serve tables all around us but never ask us if we needed anything. Not trained well. When she returned with a new beer she started to walk away and we ask if we could order and to tell her we still needed our waters. At this point we ordered our food and another round of drinks. Luckily for me both my beers were cold not so lucky for my buddy. So about 50-60 minutes into our dinner we finally get our food. Fajitas. I thought they were pretty good but didn't want to ask for more tortillas because 1. I'd have to track down my waitress and 2. I'd probably wait too long for them. Again, we had to shout her down to get the bill and another 10 minutes to get our receipts back. By the way, we ask several times throughout dinner for water but only received them once we had all finished our meals. The waitress was not rude but from experience I could tell that she was not trained well. We could have easily ordered another round of drinks or maybe two but she never asked if we needed anything. It was not particularly busy but she look as if she was struggling a bit. Also, nothing was ever removed from our table with the exception of a chip basket, otherwise our plates, bottles, and drink glasses were never removed. I is apparent that this place will not be around for long if they do not improve on training, customer service, and most importantly management. Take a tip from Outback Steakhouse where the managers come around every time I eat there and ask me how is everything. At Cantina Laredo I was never even ask how everything was. Our plan was to actually stay there at the bar until we left the area but with such bad service we moved on. From now on I think I'll stick with Crave when visiting Midtown Crossing.
