Two great tastes that taste great together! Cartoonist Alex Dempsey has drawn delightful mash-ups of the peanut butter of Doctor Who and the chocolate of Adventure Time. Or the caramel and the nougat, or the strawberry and whipped…

Bruce Campbell Wants to Make a Horror EXPENDABLES Movie! — GeekTyrant http://buff.ly/1pF9Tmj
Bruce Campbell is the freakin' man. He's a great, funny guy who is also crazy talented. Let's face it, big stars like George Clooney only wish they could be as badass as Bruce Campbell. If the actor has his way, there's a chance that one day he will make an Expendables style horror movies.  I had never seen this interview before, but During an interview with The Hero Complex 4 years ago Campbell was asked about a couple of films he'd ...

John Constantine Won't Be Smoking On TV http://buff.ly/1pF9K2p
Producer David S. Goyer says he fought to keep it, but it looks like John Constantine's trademark chain-smoking will not make it to the TV adaptation of DC's Constantine.

What a great local store, they have recently renovated the store and it is more fantastic then ever. I can always find something great for my son here. If you are in Newark you should stop in!

Captain Blue Hen Comics has, over the past several years, become a favorite and frequent haunt of mine. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable, and the array of product, from vintage/current comics to niche comics and pop culture collectibles, is vast. If they don't have a given item, they likely have a means to get it for you, and they've always put the customer ahead of the custom when it comes to recommendations. When you want to talk with staff who's more current on comics culture than your average blogger or internet news site, you go to CBH.

I was told today that a $3.99 sale "Wasn't worth it" and that I should go withdraw money from an atm. I think I'll just download comics from now on, and pick up trades from amazon.

Been going to Captain Blue Hen for over 2 years now and they are the best. Great selection of new and old books, plenty of trades, dollar books, etc. Staff is always friendly and know most of the customers by name. The store is big as comic stores go and they have creator signings a few times a year. Always make sure to show up on Free Comic Book Day because they have tons of fun stuff.

I could use another comic shop...but after close to two decades- the service, knowledge, and attention to detail is worth the hour and half drive! These guys (and gals) know my preferences and are quick to let me know of titles and items I may be interested in...It's become so easy that my wife even enjoys going there (and that's saying a lot!)

WOW, what more can I say. That's the vibe that you get when you walk through their front door. You are instantly greeted when you enter the shop by smiling faces and to the sounds of an old school TV show on the tube. They have a great selection of back issues, trades and other collectibles. Their Dollar bins (about 10 in all) are always full with great grabs, and if you think that isn't enough they even have their own podcast "From the Booth". It's a great place to visit if you’re passing through or if you want to hang out in one of their restaurant booths and read some comics. Oh, and did I mention that they have a girl that works there that knows ALOT about everything comics!!!!!!
