The service was good and fast. Atmosphere was nice, our table was ready right a way. The menu looked very interesting, a little overpriced to me based on what's in the dish. I first ordered a lemonade with ginger, no taste of lemons, it was like sweet water with a final taste of ginger. I had the fish, it didn't have much taste either, very insipid. My side was the calabaza, which honestly i can bake a pumpkin an put it on a plate. No added taste, nothing and I don't smoke, I have my taste buds functioning. My husband had the pork shoulder, he enjoyed. We also order the octopus and it was good. Dessert was good to. Maybe I wasn't lucky with the food I ordered, no flavor, very simple. For the price you pay You expect to eat inventive gastronomy. In my opinion it is not worth the price.

Cool place, interesting menu. I had the leg of lamb which I did not think was that good honestly. It didn't have a lot of flavor to me. My date had the Salmon which she seemed to be impressed with though.

Focus on Floridian ingredients (e.g. Hogfish is delicious and something only available locally), if the weather is comfortable get a table on the hip outdoor patio in the middle of the design district.

Delicious food, quiet and delicate scenery, locally sourced products - no wonder this is one of Miami's hot spots, and the meeting place for so many of the area's designers. Get a table outside and enjoy the daily curated menu - you're in for a treat ! Best for : delicious food, outdoor terrace, interior design Cuisine : Mediterranean

We celebrated my son’s birthday at Michael’s Genuine, a group of nine. It’s was always a good choice. As a caveat, I have been a patron at Michael’s since its debut in 2007. We started with a bottle of Rose-Cinsault and several appetizers- Spicy Pork Belly (Best in Miami), Steamed Mussels, Octopus and Bacon Pizza. The servers seemed puzzled, and the runners were “running” total chaos. The server brings the bottle to the table warm-faux pas; she apologizes and says “give her a few minutes to chill the wine. Appetizers arrive-yes! Are you kidding me, some of us had serving dishes and some silver wear, maybe it’s the “nouvelle” communal dining experience sharing utensils. We flag down our server, she brings the chilled Rose…really where are the glasses. A runner brings the missing utensils and dishes, another the wine glasses and happily the feast commences. Enjoying our appetizers, the runners began to clear the table. What! Are you kidding me! We had to practically gorge and hold on to our dishes. I called the manager. He or she was MIA, the old adage “when the cat is out the mice come out to play”: totally unacceptable and reckless behavior. The runners kept interrupting us during our meal, taking dishes away as we continue to eat. What is going on! You can’t expect value from a fledgling untrained staff! Nominal etiquette expectations don’t interrupt your guest when they’re eating! We continue to order the rest of our dinner. The roasted pork shoulder was superb as usual. Now , the Leg of Lamb was overcooked albeit tasty. My guest enjoyed the grouper, no complaints there. Proceeded to order Genuine’s coveted desserts. I have been a fan of the cookies and confections for years; others ordered the bread pudding and Cremoso. Sadly, the cookies and confections were unbreakable, insipid and not welcoming. I tasted the bread pudding –on point. I ask myself, were they in the weeds? If so, then you deal with it professionally. The staff was vacuous of passion for service and creating an experience that leaves your guests wanting more. I have been to Michael’s several times after for lunch, when I crave the most delectable pork belly around, the service is not there. Heartbreaking!

During our visit we ordered a half dozen appetizers and snacks to share. All the plates were outstanding! I highly recommend the Duck Rillette and, trust me on this one, the Deviled Eggs. The Deviled Eggs are exemplary of how the team here approaches food: familiar dishes taken to the next level. We also ordered a dozen oysters which were incredibly fresh and went very well with Michael's house hot sauce. I will definitely be going back to try some of their more substantial entrees.

Excellent experience, service was warm yet professional, the food was delicious we enjoyed especially the short rib and the octopus: juicy tender and flavorful. A special mention for the cherry soda cocktail, the combination with Rosemary was ingenious!

New to Miami and this was one of the first places recommended to me. I'm a big fan. Food is fresh and delicious, service is great. Highly recommended.
