I have to admit that by some of the reviews I was put off. I was terrified about not knowing what was going to happen during my visit here. After I walked in I was warmly welcomed with open arms. Everyone is there was excellent and was very knowledgeable and caring. I did not feel like I was just a number. They treated me with respect and I am so glad that I went to Hillcrest. If you are 100% sure this is right for you then you won't be disappointed. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and have their own reasons. Don't judge someone until you are in their shoes. :)

This is NOT the place to go!!! As I was waiting the nurses were gossiping with each other about the patients being too emotional n their choices. When I read the other reviews about hearing the vacum I thought they were joking but you really do hear the vaccum. The equipment is soooo outdated it's sad. Please do urself a favor go somewhere else!!

In my experience, everyone here is very nice and caring. There was only one person I dealt with that was completely impersonable. The doctor and nurse in the room when I had the procedure were both amazing and really helped put me at ease. The negative for me was how they run things there, as far as the patients basically being in an assembly line instead of each patient being treated individually and it being personal, which I think is important in such a situation. You wind up spending several hours waiting which is a huge negative.

Please don't have an abortion, you will regret it later, believe me, it will haunt you for the rest of your life. Wondering, what would he or she have been like? Curly hair, brown eyes, dimples? Would they have been an artist, a doctor, a priest, a teacher? How many grandchildren would you have? What about the horrendous pain this child will feel being pulled apart? Sedation makes everything seem like it didn't happen, but the truth is, it did..... from someone who knows

I had a terrible experience here. The nurses and aids leading up to the procedure were friendly and helpful. Although I waited for 4 hours before the actual procedure even started, being shuffled around to different rooms. The surgical nurse though, was cold and indifferent. I paid extra for the IV sedation (which was extremely hard for me personally to come up with) with the impression that I would be more relaxed during this difficult procedure; this was not the case. The "sedation" worked for maybe two minutes. The doctor also seemed completely indifferent to me. I begged for more sedation as the procedure is extremely painful and I was crying from the pain. Neither the nurse nor the doctor even responded to me. The clinic was clean, but I could hear vacuum in the next rooms turning on and off. Other girls who were in the recovery room with me that had the IV sedation had all the same problems I did. (There were about 4 others at the time) I would NEVER recommend going here. I have unfortunately had this procedure done a few years ago at Tidewater Women's Health (also in Norfolk) and they were amazing! I had the IV sedation there and don't remember a thing from it. I don't remember hearing anything or seeing anything. They were fast and attentive. I would definitely recommend Tidewater. Plus, when I went to Hillcrest there were protesters to deal with upon arrival. I didn't have to deal with that at Tidewater.
