I had to find a hotel in Southeast Florida to have a meeting for 35. The staff were AMAZING and very helpful! The rooms are wonderful and what great scenery - right between the river and the ocean! The meeting was held in the amphitheater which was GREAT! It has slanted floors so everyone can see the presenter, with tables going all the way across and power outlets, lights, pens, paper and candy at each seat. We had several unexpected items come up that were needed last minute and the staff worked with us to have everything flow smoothly! Overall, this was a great place to hold a meeting or just to relax, hang out at the pool or the beach. We have had requests to come back here for our next meeting in Florida!

We had a great time. We r from Texas. I came here for a work conference. The staff is incredible. Everyone is very friendly. I don't understand the negative reviews, but I'm not made of money either. We r usually the ppl staying in a $40 motel, so this is a big step up for us. It's super close to the beach. Beautiful pool. Couldn't have been better

I would never stay at this hotel again! Poor management and service, overpriced and unhelpful when it comes to complaints. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This hotel is old, but they do a good job maintaining the living space. So it is comfortable and still nice. I'll give it 5 stars because of the friendly staff, but taking away 2 stasr because of the uncontrolable smoking on balconies. I stay here for extended period of times (over a month), and the most common complaint is the smokers. The staff do not remind guests at check-in that smoking is not allowed. Some guests smoke on the balcony, which is illegal, and the smoke smell gets into the rooms and it's very disturbing. When I complain to the staff they say that they have to "catch the persons smoking by walking by and looking at their balcony"...needles to say they never ever catch any. So I am always left inconvenienced.

My wife and I stayed there for a just a quick get away. The staff was wonderful. Everyone from the golf course, restaurant, and front desk were very helpful and had great attitudes. It is nice to know "service with a smile" still exist in America. It was the best hotel stay I have had anywhere in sometime!

We stayed at the Sandpiper for 3 nights and 4 days. The ocean and pool were great. The dinner and breakfast bar were excellent. However, the room was one of the worst we have ever stayed in. The sofa and side chair in the living room were so uncomfortable that we had to sit on the bed to watch TV in the small bedroom. The bedroom was so small that it was difficult to get around the bed. The sliding glass doors were very difficult to open and close. The paint was severly chipped on the patio chairs. They were unsightly. The bed had only a few tiny pillows and some oversized decorative ones. The bed was too hard. I woke up with back pain each morning. We have stayed in a number of Marriotts over the years. This one was below the standards we have ever found in a Marriott. It was a real shock considering the price. We will never stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.
