Interesting poll from #fleet news. Despite the general enthusiasm in the car industry for electric vehicles and with the prospect of more charging points in motorway service stations - key for fleet drivers - only 23% of survey respondents say this latest development will make the switch to electric vehicles. Given the advantages that electric vehicles offer - everything from running costs to fleet #insurance costs - what more do we need before we see general adoption?

Diesels in decline. More evidence as to the decline in the popularity of #diesel vehicles. An Autocar survey of 1,000 UK motorists showed that just 23% are planning to buy a diesel next time round. Diesels currently represent 40% of the total UK #fleet, so this is a significant trend, one that will not only see more petrol vehicles on our roads but also electric and other alternative fuel sources as more than a sixth of those surveyed are set to swap from a diesel to a hybrid or electric car at their next purchase. So, are diesels dead?

There may be changes to city centres in the future as the Mayor of London wants a zero emission zone in London by 2025. If London goes zero emissions other cities may follow, city centres are busy areas for deliveries and so are vital areas for couriers.
As a courier will you consider changing to an electric vehicle to comply with the zero emission zones?
