This week on Flicks in Five, Lynne Warfel celebrates the artistry of Fred Astaire and Judy Garland by featuring one of their classic songs, 'A Couple of Swells'.

The two worked together in the MGM release, 'Easter Parade', and one of their numbers from that film, 'We're a Couple of Swells', is considered a classic to this day. Hear it on this week's Flicks in Five.

This week on Saturday Cinema, Lynne Warfel celebrates the music of comedies, starting with the 1969 sleeper hit, 'The April Fools'. She continues the hour by scanning the AFI's list of best comedies. Listen Saturday at 10 a.m. for music and a few laughs to boot.
This 1969 romantic comedy features Jack Lemmon, Catherine Deneuve, Sally Kellerman and a wonderful supporting cast. The film's title tune proved a big hit for composer Burt Bacharach, finding its way onto radio as well as into restaurants and department stores. Hearing it on this week's Flicks in Five may jog your memory.
