Evil Dead the Musical!

This is primarily a feedback post. I can't seem to figure out how to explain this using the send feedback option, so I hope the Googlers like +Frances Haugen or +Shimrit Ben-Yair or +Mark Striebeck will read this. Now on with the show...

Why do people keep falling out of my circles? As far as I can tell it's because I'm messing with my Gmail Contacts. Here's the latest bug I'm catching:

1. Add someone to a circle
2. Go to Gmail Contacts and check your "Other Contacts" section, you may find that contact there. I say "may" because if you already had that person in your contact list, The Google Profile link might get properly merged into that account. Sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, that person gets put into your "Other Contacts"
3. If you delete that contact, the person will eventually get removed from your circles. It's not always immediate.
4. If you merge that contact with another, it may remove them from your circle. Interestingly enough, the Find and Merge Duplicates feature doesn't seem to work with G+ added contacts.
5. If you attempt to rename the contact, by say, adding a last name (For some reason, all the Googlers I follow are added to my contacts list by first name only, which is annoying!), that contact may get removed from your circles. I can not nail down the exact series of events that lead to deletion.
6. Now extrapolating this problem outward, the Picasa desktop application can see all of your Gmail Contacts, even the "Other Contacts" container. If you don't manicure your contacts list, the People Manager becomes worthless in a hurry. Especially if you have duplicate or "first name only" contacts due to G+ Circles.
7. In Picasa People Manager, deleting a person added by G+ Circles with the "Sync to Contacts" feature enabled will remove that person from your G+ Circles. What's worse is that the Delete Person button doesn't seem to have an "Are you sure?" function, so if you accidentally hit the Delete Person button, that person is instantly purged from all your Google stuff.

Well I have to run to work, I hope that someone can prove this out for me cause I'm pretty sure I'm not crazy... at least not in a way that would affect my G+ account.
