I had my wedding here this summer. While the facility was very nice and went well for pictures. The management at this establishment is less then desirable. We had many issues on the wedding day. For instance the neighbors wet dog interrupted our photo session, the staff during the reception was rude to our guest, etc. We tried to look past these issues to enjoy our day. However, months after the wedding they charged our credit card for items they "forgot" to charge us on the day of our wedding. For the amount of money this place cost, the hassle they put you through is ridiculous. I wish I had never chosen to have my wedding here. Its a shame, I wish I was able to look back at my wedding and feel happiness. However, all I can think about is the issues we have with this establishment.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast in the Central PA area. My wife and I stayed their prior to our departure from our wedding weekend and it was excellent. The staff is extremely polite and accommodating. I would not hesitate to stay there again. We stayed in room #27 which is like a small apartment. Bedroom is large with a large bathroom, both of which make you feel very private. Highly recommended!

I can't comment on the inn or the restaurant - I am commenting on their wedding venue business. Myself, my fiance, and my family went there today for an appointment to tour the grounds as a possible wedding venue. I booked the appointment about a week in advance. When we first got there it looked very nice, it did smell like manure which is something another user commented on, but that doesn't bother me. After we've been greeted at the front desk we were asked to sit in the living area of the inn and someone would come get us. 30 minutes later we were still sitting there. No one came to even check on us or apologize, nothing, we just sat there for a full 30 minutes with employees walking by and saying nothing to us. There wasn't even anyone sitting at the front desk for us to inquire with, my fiance stood at the front desk for a good ten minutes. We ended up leaving a note saying we were leaving. What I think is even worse is that I have yet to receive an apologetic phone call or E-mail. It was extremely disappointing. I sincerely hope that you and your family have a better experience.

Thank you for pointing out that we are in Lancaster County farm country which many groups enjoy as part of their country stay experience. It sounds like you stayed with us on one of those few days a year when the farmers take the opportunity to fertilize their fields. Fortunately that usually only happens once in the late winter or early spring before the crops are planted. We are surprised and disappointed that you didn’t care for your breakfast. Our freshly prepared breakfast entrees such as our Olde English Apple Pancakes, Baked Oatmeal and freshly prepared quiches and frittatas are favorites of our repeat guests and items for which we regularly get asked for the recipes (which we are happy to accommodate.) In checking back about the appointment our calendar shows your appointment at 9:30 and not 9:00 as you indicated. We certainly apologize for any confusion regarding the time. One of the big selling points of our wedding packages is how organized we are and we regularly get compliments on our attention to detail. We wish you the best of luck in your search for the perfect location to host your wedding and thank you again for taking the time to post a review.

My parents recently came to town and we hit up quite a few higher-end restaurants around south central PA. This was by FAR the best. I was the only one in our party to do the prix fixe menu (which comes with soup and desert), but they all wished they had by the end. The soup of the night was turkey corn chowder and it was absolutely amazing. The salad came dressed with their own vinaigrette that had excellent depth of flavor. For my entree, I had a juicy and tender filet mignon that was accompanied by a good crab cake and root veggies. Dessert was an excellent pumpkin cheesecake. Overall, my only complaint was that the beer I got had been sitting in light too long and was a bit skunky. That's a minor concern, though, when the food was great - something you don't find too often in this part of the state.

My husband and I dined at Cameron Estate for his birthday in 2014. I had the Duck and he had the Crab Cakes. I can not say enough, how amazing our meals were! The duck was absolutely delicious. The best I have had in years! My husband loved the crab cakes. We had wonderful service and a wonderful experience. I asked my parents if we could go there this year, March 2015 for my birthday and the experience was wonderful once again. I had the Duck once again and it was still amazing! My husband had the Roasted Hen and he said that was quite delicious as well. We had a larger party with kids, but the experience was still great. Would highly recommend eating there!!! Make sure you come hungry!

I was hoping for very fine dining and got below average food and service yet paid for high end food/service. Would not go back especially for the price, food quality and service.

David, Thank you for your posting regarding your lunch here for Thanksgiving. We welcome all comments. While we make every effort to offer the best in fine dining al the time, you can appreciate the challenge we have in meeting the demand for traditional Turkey, dressing and all the fixings ”just like mom use to burn :)” on a very busy holiday meal service. Sorry we did not meet your expectations on Thanksgiving and we suggest you try us for dinner.
