This is a hidden gem in Charlotte Street area. It is small pub which looks like your grannys flat. However, it has a lot of interesting choices of cocktails and you even can get one cocktail in a tea cup with cucumber sandwich next to it at even 2am. Music wise, DJ starts at 10pm and it is usually 90's hip-hop and atmosphere is amazing when music starts. It can get a bit too hot though as it is downstairs without windows.

This is the cutest little baby of a club, smaller than most people's living rooms. They manage to pack in a DJ who plays my kind of music (terrible 90s pop) and serve cocktails in teacups. The bar is a hole in the wall, the sound is loud, but it's a fun place to dance on a Friday night if there aren't too many of you.

I seriously love the cocktails here. I would have given the staff an "excellent" rating but the last time I was here the bartenders seemed a little bit "too cool" to answer any questions people had. But the selection of gin cocktails makes this adorable, prohibition-style bar one I'm always happy to visit. Even if it does look a bit like my grandmother's living room... I love the little touches, like the menu showing the type of glass your drink is served in, or the half sandwich that comes with a teacup drink. The bartenders clearly know what they're doing, too, and are usually happy to talk you through it. One thing to note, though, is that cell phone reception is minimal - so if you're meeting someone there it's probably best to meet outside if one of you thinks you'll get lost.

Order the gardeners tea and you'll get gin in a teacup. With a cucumber sandwich on the side, of course. This downstairs bar has a great atmosphere and plenty of extraordinary cocktails. The staff are lovely too, and our bartender was more than happy to switch out my friend's cucumber sandwich (she has a butter allergy) for some sweets she could eat instead. It's loud, crowded, and when I visited some people even managed to dance!

Bourne & Hollingsworth is a delightful place to go if you like your drinks in jamjars or teacups, which I do! The drinks, decor, atmosphere is all very Forties, including the way some of the customers were dressed :) It's quite small so becomes very cramped, but nice if you manage to get a table (or remember to book beforehand). I highly recommend visiting this place at least once!

I love this place which is why I booked it for my dear friends unofficial & 'elegant' hens party. As always, the cocktails were great (if a little pricey by the 5th or 6th one) and the bar staff very friendly. Two small complaints however... First, the table I had booked weeks in advance & reconfirmed twice was not ready when we arrived so they bunged us in a corner (5 of us) around a cramped little table, while the other parties came in enjoyed the pleasure of the larger more spacious tables whether they had booked them or not. This was pretty annoying as we could barely move without knocking elbows. The second minor complaint is the time it takes to get served. As most people go for cocktails, not only do you have to wait sufficient time for the barman to knock up five drinks but also for the two people in front to complete their rounds of cocktails. However, it's a small place so maybe this is to be expected. Otherwise, we had a top night. Thanks.
