Story
Introduction
I am a Partner with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP in Chicago, Illinois, where I have more than ten years of experience prosecuting and litigating patents.  I am also the founder and editor of the Patent Docs weblog (http://www.patentdocs.org/), a site that focuses on developments in biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent law.  I graduated summa cum laude from the John Marshall Law School in 2002, where I served as lead articles editor of the John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law.  I received a Ph.D. in mammalian genetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where my doctoral and postdoctoral research involved an analysis of the structure and function of protein domains of human P-glycoprotein through the use of genetic suppressor elements encoding antisense RNA molecules and truncated proteins.  I also have a B.S. in Biology from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois.
