Over 150 years in the making, Vermilion Parish is a multicultural blend steeped in history with a dash of "joie de vivre" or, love of life, finishing the mix. This bilingual, coastal parish is very large and diverse with wandering bayous and farmlands, authentic local cuisine, family-friendly festivals and Cajun towns connecting it all.

Story
VisitLouisianaCoast.com is part of The Louisiana Tourism Coastal Coalition and is a long term endeavor to promote our coastal communities, fragile wetlands and encourage visitors to enjoy unique coastal Louisiana's cultural and outdoor experiences.  A consortium of tourism leaders from Coastal Louisiana parishes joined in a united effort to mitigate tourism losses created by the BP oil spill.
The ten member coalition includes tourism leaders from Calcasieu, Cameron, Iberia, Jefferson, Lafourche, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Terrebonne and Vermillion Parishes.
