It is summer after all!
The 'Wet Hot American Summer' immersion in Bushwick was charmingly ramshackle and captured the spirit of the movie pretty well

Wonder what there is to do in your 'hood?

Check out this list of places you'll want to visit in each neighborhood of Brooklyn. #brooklyn  #parkslope
She's big. She's beautiful. She's Brooklyn. Manhattan's neighbor to the east has become a veritable mecca of wholesome food, great vintage, and enough craft beer (and ginger-beer-based cocktails) to fill the East River. Not to mention a plethora of date-worthy guys and gals — ever walk through

Want to play some 'ball while you're in town?

It'll probably be a bit pricey to rent out the Barclays Center, so try one of these great basketball courts in the city. (And watch out for the ones without baskets!)

I recently stayed with my fiance in room 606. DO NOT STAY IN THIS ROOM! When we checked in at night the lobby had really strange black lighting and mirror elevator doors. The shower and bathroom set up was very odd with no door and shower curtains on the outside of a see through glass encased shower. Our blanket had all kinds of stains of different colors and sizes. The floor had white stains as well. When we asked for a replacement blanket we were told they only had the fuzzy kind. We asked to switch rooms on a Monday night when I'm pretty sure the room right next to us was open and were told they were fully booked. We were then given permission to take some snacks to make up for this nonsense and were charged for them. Parking lot fit less than 18 cars. Complimentary room delivered breakfast was pretty good and balcony view was nice. Tried to give 0 stars but I wasn't able to.

I loved the free parking. Everyone I met during my two day stay was very friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the, 'Fresh Start' breakfast in the morning. Bed was super comfy as well. If I ever come back to Brooklyn I will stay again!

I have never been to Brooklyn before, booked on a whim that it was near a concert. VERY PLEASE. The staff was extremely pleasent/helpful/nice. Had a great view of the city. Clean room. Close walking distance to subway and many places to eat. Breakfast is complimentary and delivered to your door. They had free parking! Great experience. Highly recommended!

WORDS COME TO MIND LIKE::: WONDERFUL, ACCOMODATING, AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. CLOSE PROXIMITY TO FAMILY/FRIENDS MEETING OUR VISIT NEEDS. PARKING WAS A TAD BIT TRICKY; WALKING HALF A BLOCK OR ONE BLOCK WAS A BREEZE. ONE SNAG : REFRIGERATOR IN ROOM DID NOT WORK DURING THE ENTIRE TRIP; THE STAFF ENSURED THAT MY NEEDS WERE MET ,RELATED TO MY DIETARY REGIME AT THE TIME. "HOME AWAY FROM HOME".

Very friendly service and nice rooms. Location was perfect for our purposes, the venue (Bell House) was less than 2 blocks away and plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. Will stay with them again!

The hotel is nice and modern with beautiful views. Staff is frinedly and very helpful. The only issue I can see which is not a big one is the way the bathrooms are set up.

Hotel Le Bleu was a total surprise. A group of Red Hatters from all over Canada and the USA stayed at Le Bleu for three nights in October and could not speak higher of them. Due to an emergency, we had to ask the manager to access our room for insurance info and she very discreetly did and that night, knowing what we had been through, left a basket of fruit with a bottle of non alcoholic champagne in our room along with a beautiful swan for my niece who had to have medical attention. If this wasn't enough, they gave us all a box of chocolate when we checked out. Unfortunately there is no dining facilities or bar in the hotel but there are great restaurants the next block over (that even served this Floridian fresh squeezed orange juice). We had reservations about the open bathroom but there is a curtain over the shower and the glass surrounding the toilet is frosted. Don't miss this gem for a great experience.
