Following the tragic events in Westminster on Wednesday 22nd of March 2017, a candlelit vigil was held in Trafalgar Square in memory of those killed and in support of the survivors, and also as a message to any would-be "terrorists", home-grown or otherwise, that we are not afraid. This is my video of the event.

Wonderful. He seems to be viewing the eyes of the red marks to his right. Lovely balance.
Blood, Sweat and Beers

There will be more photos from Brick Lane tomorrow but today I leave you with this interesting-looking guy who was hanging around by a wall. With a camera, of course...

I'm very much looking forward to watching this.
This is worth a look if you're interested in the history of photography, how it started, and who was involved. From Fox Talbot's Lacock Abbey, through Roger Fenton's war photographs, to Julia Margaret Cameron's often haunting portraits and beyond, it's a treat for anyone with access to BBC iPlayer.

+Gord Young, who shared this on Facebook, aptly quoted Ralph Emerson: "Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience."

I did a lot of "forest bathing" as I grew up in the glorious Holme Valley in south-west Yorkshire (England, UK), in the late 1950s and the 1960s. It felt like the most spiritual thing in my life, and made me very much into an environmentalist. Great article; do read it.
