Is Reading too negative about itself? The creators of one Facebook page don't think so - check out our interview with Sh*t Things to Do in Reading.

Keys. We all have them, don't we? Well, homeless people don't have them, but that's their choice. The rest of us have keys and for most of us, they're the absolute bane of our lives. A constant sou...

We had our cat stay in the cat hotel. The facilities are everything you would expect and on picking her back up, she was happy enough. The staff gave her her medication as instructed, which was good. We did ask if everything was returned in our cat's box on picking her up and were assured it was. But we were missing an item. These things happen, so we weren't overly fussed. One thing we must say though is that we asked on booking for pictures during our cat's stay and were told that pictures would be posted on Facebook during the week. They weren't, though. Even after we messaged again four or five days in to remind staff. Again, it's not a huge deal, but it was something that was important to us during the week away and the lack of follow through suggested to us a lack of a personal touch. As did the fact that no comments were made on her stay or behavior on picking her up. Everything's is set up for a top cattery, though. And these small things can be easily addressed, no doubt.

Era is a real step back in time - all the great items on sale mean you can deck your place out in true classic kitsch style. It's like a museum where all the cool stuff's there for you to take home! Very friendly owners and staff too. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. I'll be popping back in next time I'm in Brighton, that's for sure.
