Slightly cooler temps Tuesday, a bit of a chance for thunderstorms. Minor changes to #Thornton’s #weather today as low level moisture increases. We will see things cool a few degrees, clouds increase some and just a slight chance for a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. The day starts with mostly sunny skies and those will be with us until this afternoon when cloud cover will increase some. The morning will be dry then, after about 2:00pm, we may see a thunderstorm move off the higher terrain to the adjacent plains. The chances don’t look great but they do exist. We should see similar levels of smoke as in recent days from the wildfires so there won’t be a break from it. High temperatures today will top out in the mid-80s. Tonight, any thunderstorm activity should end by 10:00pm and then we will be left with partly clear skies. Overnight lows will be around 60 degrees. Seasonal temperatures, sunny skies start Thornton’s workweek. Monday is going to bring weather conditions quite like what we just saw this past weekend. Temps should be a couple of degrees cooler but otherwise look for more calm, dry conditions. The day starts under sunny skies and those will be with us until this afternoon when just a few clouds show up. Highs today will top out in the upper 80s, right near the average high of 88 degrees for the date. Tonight, skies remain mostly clear with lows around 60 degrees. Looking ahead at the rest of your workweek, temperatures are going to remain largely unchanged, maybe a hair cooler. We do see a chance for some storms on a few of the days. Sunny, calm and seasonal weather conditions for #Thornton’s weekend. Well, this is one of the simplest, most boring weekend forecasts we have issued in a long time. High pressure is going to dominate the three day period keeping any drama at bay and allowing pleasant, seasonal conditions. Temperatures from Friday through Sunday should top out right near the average high for the dates of 89 degrees. Overnight lows will be around 60 degrees. Really, there isn’t much else we can say about it other than to hope you enjoy it! More: http://www.thorntonweather.com/

Lots of sun, seasonal temps, calm conditions for Thornton’s Thursday. With high pressure dominating the region holding any drama and moisture away, we will enjoy a good looking day today. Temps will be right near normal and there will be plenty of those blue, Colorado skies above. We start out with sunny skies and will see them last through the early afternoon. After that, a few clouds may arrive but nothing too intrusive. Overall conditions will be calm with no thunderstorms expected in our area. Highs will top out in the upper 80s. Tonight, skies will be partly clear with overnight lows around 60 degrees. Enjoy! More: http://www.thorntonweather.com

Wednesday to offer warm temperatures, just a slight chance for storms. A fine looking summer day ahead for #Thornton. Temperatures will be close to normal and the afternoon and evening offer only a bit of a chance for storms. We start out under clear skies and will enjoy lots of sun for much of the day. The mid-afternoon will bring a few clouds but nothing too intrusive. Highs today will top in the upper 80s, close to the average high of 89 degrees. Thunderstorm activity should be quite isolated today with activity largely to our west and south. We may see something pop up after 4:00pm but chances don’t appear good. Tonight, lows will dip to around the 60 degree mark. More: http://www.thorntonweather.com

Temperatures will be below normal and quite pleasant while the evening offers up a typical chance for thunderstorms. We start out the day under sunny skies then will see a few clouds later this morning with a further increase in coverage in the afternoon. Temperatures will top out in the mid-80s, a bit below normal, making for a nice one. Late afternoon brings a slight chance for thunderstorms with the best opportunity coming after 6:00pm. Right now it appears most activity will be to our south but we can’t rule out some isolated storms our way. Thornton’s workweek starts out with cooler temps, unsettled conditions. A nice break from the heat in store for us today. However, we do see the potential for thunderstorms, some potentially severe. The day starts out with a bit of cloud cover but that will ease this morning through the early afternoon. Then, expect to see clouds increase as thunderstorms begin to build in the foothills and move across the area. Best chance for storms will come after 3:00pm and then increase from there into the evening. Some of these storms could bring brief, heavy rain, gusty winds and perhaps some sizeable hail so please be aware. High temperatures today will top out around a very comfortable 77 degrees. Tonight, thunderstorm activity should be done by midnight then we will see gradually clearing skies. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s. Looking ahead, we have a pretty decent week ahead with highs in the mid-30s expected through Saturday. In the meantime, keep an eye on the skies for those thunderstorms here: http://www.thorntonweather.com/wundermap-radar.php

Thornton’s weekend continues the unsettled weather of recent days. We’ve managed to enjoy some cooler temperatures and nice precipitation this week so far. Heading into the weekend, temperatures will be largely below normal and we have chances for storms each day. For Friday, mostly sunny skies will be above with the usual increase in cloud cover in the afternoon. Highs today will top out in the upper 80s. We have a bit less moisture to work with today but may still see some scattered thunderstorm activity from mid-afternoon into the evening. Tonight, partly cloudy skies will be above with lows near the 60 degree mark. Saturday will again bring mostly sunny skies for the morning, then partly clear conditions in the afternoon. Highs will be a bit cooler and in the mid-80s. The afternoon brings better chances for thunderstorms. Saturday night into Sunday morning, partly cloudy skies will be above with lows again near 60 degrees. A cold front will arrive Sunday morning leading to cooler temperatures. Highs will be around 80 degrees. There will be more cloud coverage during the day and the afternoon and evening offer up chances for showers and thunderstorms.
