This is a great clip of a retired Indian commander who says he was impressed by how outnumbered Pakistani soldiers resisted the Indian invasion of their country in 1971.

Here's #US Vice President Richard Nixon in a studio of Radio #Pakistan circa 1955, in #Karachi, which was the federal capital then. Pak-American ties were so close then that the #American president waved to Pakistanis from an open car in a slow-moving motorcade. Those were the days before the CIA ruined this relationship by adding the element of espionage, spying on its close ally and friend. #CIA operatives were arrested several times but quietly released by Islamabad. Pakistani officials treated the relationship as an alliance and let the CIA agents off the hook believing American explanations on those spies being rogue and operating without sanction. The CIA's anti-Pakistan activities reached a zenith in 2006 when Pakistan discovered that the alliance that was revived in 2001 was being used by the Agency to spy on Pakistan itself. The CIA went on to ally with any warlord in Afghanistan who would be willing to work against Pakistan. The CIA sought Indian help in this regard. This is how the BLA terror group was born. The Indians created this group during the Cold War in Soviet-controlled Afghanistan. The group died a natural death with the demise of the Soviet Union in 1992. But the BLA rose from the dead, thanks to the CIA-Indian cooperation in Afghanistan after 2001.

Not bad for a 60-year-old with a major back injury!

Here's #Pakistan's Imran Khan, leader of the Movement for Justice, a Pakistani nationalist party, chatting with Prince Charles and Camilla Parker in London last week. Parker is wearing a designer Pakistani dress.

Khan enjoys unmatched popularity among young Pakistanis.

#ANP  is a pro #US   #Pakistani  political party. It used to be on the payroll of Soviet Union.   Its head, Asfandyar Wali, met #CIA  chief in DC in March 2008.  Part of the coalition govt that ruled Pakistan between 2008 and 2013, ANP's railway minister has been one of the most corrupt and incompetent the country has seen in decades.

Under Bilour, the railway minister, Pakistan Railways suffered huge losses and several corruption scandals. Of course, true for Pakistan's failed democracy, Bilour walked away untouched. But his #Chinese  counterpart faces a death sentence for corruption.

What if Pakistan had the same political system as China?

Here's salute to China's justice system. Wish we could have some of it.

Breaking News

Supreme Court of ‪#‎Pakistan‬'s Media Commission report leaked online.

The commission included highly respectable Justice Nasir Aslam Zahid and former federal information minister Mr. Javed Jabbar. This leaked and scanned part from the report authored by the Commission gives irrefutable evidence of Pakistani electronic media's direct connections with known enemies of Pakistan. The scan is not of the highest quality so we have optimized it a bit for clarity. The transcript of the highlighted parts of the Media Commission report is given below:

* It was revealed that a lot of funding was pouring into Pakistani media outlet from abroad in the form of sponsorship. For instance, 'Zara Socheeye' TV program had received sponsorship to the extent of 20 million British pounds, the report's authors said.

* The report's authors revealed that programs prepared by Indian producers were being sold to third parties in Dubai which in turn supplied them to Pakistani television channels. It was difficult to provide documentary proof of such deals.

* Another instance reported was that of 'Aman Ki Asha" program which was being funded by a Norwegian NGO named 'Friends without Borders'. Going into the background of the funding to this program, it was found that the foot-prints lead to Indian sponsors including the Indian State Television, the Doordarshan.

* The Commission says in the report it was informed that PEMRA had initiated dialogue with the Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) on the issue of content regulation and the code of conduct. But there has been no positive response from the PBA. Instead, the PBA has approached the courts to stop the state regulator from introducing a code of conduct for TV channels.

‪#‎Pakistan‬| ‪#‎AsmaJehangir‬'s paranoia knows no end! In this tweet, she accuses the ‪#‎ISI‬ of 'leaking' a video of her in ‪#‎Bangladesh‬. She won't say that the video is publicly available and was filmed at a public event! Just an excuse to discredit the premier spy agency in the eyes of Pakistani citizens. Interesting how Ms. Jehangir's agenda overlaps with plans in New Delhi and Langley.

Do #Pakistani journalists have the right, legally and morally, to support #India's unprovoked 1971 invasion of East #Pakistan  and the forcible secession it imposed on the helpless population of the country?

Shouldn't we implement Article 6 in such a case?
