Not your traditional Vietnamese food that's for sure. However, they put their own spin on it which seems to be working well as the food is delicious and the place is always busy. Servers are always willing to make some great recommendations which you should definitely listen to. Their rolls and meat dishes were definitely my favourite.

Delicious food, which appears to be a Vietnamese fusion cuisine. Each of the items we ordered were very well balanced. Great view of the bay bridge area. Lots of options for cocktails. Enjoyed our meal and the excellent service. Only problem was the long line and the waiting time for a table. You can reserve in advance.

The Slanted Door is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. It's very dependable. Our waitress Darcy was amazing. She was very attentive and friendly. The food is always amazing!!! I am hungry for it just talking about it.

Great place to meet friends for happy hour by the bar our outside enjoying the bay. Portions are shareable, and don't miss the very creative Asian-inspired desserts!

Kind of an institution in San Francisco. Overpriced, but always tastey. Killer views at the right time of day. I like to go when someone else pays!

Got seated in 25 minutes. great service, casual atmosphere and (super) generous portion! I would recommend and definitely go back. Be aware though, you may have to wait a while if you go for dinner. I waited an hour once.It Is Very Good Sirvice..............!

Reservations are highly recommended. This isn't authentic Vietnamese food, but rather Vietnamese fusion. Definitely try the mixed drinks, which are done really well. Foodwise, be sure to get the shaking beef! Spring rolls are pretty good too. For a more affordable lunch option, Out the Door is a take-out only offshoot on the other side of the restaurant in the Ferry Building.
