Meet some students from Saving Grace Day & Boarding School!  Check out our Student Spotlight Collection.

Felicia had the chance to interview Saving Grace students during her trip to Arusha, TZ. These children need sponsors to support and motivate them during the school year.  Our kids have a lot of potential and we want to bring out their best. Yet they face challenges ranging from the usual growing pains of childhood, such as separated parents, stress at home, frustrations at school or with friends, to obstacles specific to poverty and living in a developing country. You can reach out to a specific child and sponsor their school year. It's an opportunity to form a personal connection with letters and photos. Sponsors act as mentors; they fund a year or term as well as give support and motivation. To learn more about sponsorship go to http://fpme.link/rtnWj8

Meet Sharon! Sharon is 5 years old, and enrolled in the nursery class at Saving Grace. She likes hanging out with the boys after school to play some soccer and roughhouse. The boys don't always like to include her, but that doesn't stop her from having a good time! Sharon's older brother Elisha attended Saving Grace until last year when he aged out of the Saving Grace curriculum.

Meet Naomi! She's one of our students in the nursery section.
Naomi loves to have fun, she says the best part of school is recess. Best part of recess? Jump rope. It's a lot of fun because Naomi can share it with her friends or do it herself. Her favorite food is bananas.
Naomi doesn't know how old she is or when her birthday is. Her teachers guess she's about 6 or 7. Naomi lives with her aunt because her mother works in Mwanza Msoma and her father has died.

Meet Rahma! She's 5 years old and enrolled in the pre-unit class at Saving Grace.
Rahma is a shy little girl with a big heart. Even though she’s grown up with very little, she wants to take care of others. Her goal is to be a house matron at an orphanage when she grows up, so she can take care of all of the girls there.
Like other children her age, Rahma loves playing games – her favorite is hide and seek! She also really likes goats, the color blue, and her favorite school subject is English.

This is Marry. She's 4 years old.
Marry has eye problems, which makes it difficult for her to learn. It is likely she has astigmatism, but her family cannot afford to bring her to an eye doctor. Despite her vision, she's an eager learner with big ambitions. Marry says she wants to be a doctor when she grows up. She's never afraid to ask teachers questions, so we're sure she is going to be a very successful woman!
