Let me tell you all a story...

There was a turkey, who saw a rather tall tree. He decided that he wanted to climb it. But try as he might, he could only go up for a few feet till he fell back down again.

While the turkey was making his attempts, a bull happened to notice the turkey and said, "If you eat my shit, it will give you the strength you need to climb up that tree."

That turkey was skeptical at first, but since he REALLY wanted to climb up that tree, he decided to eat some of the bull's shit.

He found that he was able to climb up a little bit higher every time he ate some bull shit. The more bull shit he fed himself, the higher he went. Finally, he reached the top.

A couple moments later, a hunter noticed the turkey up the top of the tree, thought he would make a good dinner so he fired his weapon. The turkey got hit and fell down dead.

The moral of the story folks, is that bullshit may get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

All media outlets:

If you're one of the ones obsessing over this live gun battle or whatnot currently going on in my state, you have absolutely NO right talking about violent video games (even though you never did have one in the first place) anymore.

That is all

If I had a dollar for every end of the world prediction, I'd have ~100 dollars

Former post before proven wrong
If the Mayans were good at predicting the future, there would most likely still be Mayans.

For those interested, for the next 48 hours, is giving out Duke Nukem 3D for free.

EDIT: Also, I think you get some other games free along with it. :O

There once was a turkey who saw a tall tree.  The turkey thought that it would be a good idea to climb that tree.  However, despite all its efforts, the turkey could not climb the tree.

Suddenly, a bull came along, saw the turkey's pitiful attempts to climb the tree and said to it: "If you eat my shit, it will give you the strength you need to climb that tree."

The turkey REALLY wanted to climb that tree, so it decided to eat some of the shit.  It ended up climbing up the tree some and then fell back down.

So every time the turkey ate more shit, it kept climbing higher and higher.  Finally, it reached the top.

A minute later, a pilgrim saw the turkey and thought it would make a good Thanksgiving dinner.  (Hurrrr) So he aimed and fired.  The shot rang true and the turkey fell down dead.

The moral of the story is:  Bullshit may get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Read this if you're all for facts, truth, and accuracy. Almost all 'information' that you see in the What's Hot category here on Google+ is FALSE.

Let me debunk another silly myth that has been doing the rounds. It has been doing the rounds for years actually. Or sadly.

NASA spent billions of tax money creating a pen that would work in space, whilst the Russians solved the same problem just using a pencil.

In the early years of space flight, both Russians and Americans used pencils in space. Unfortunately, pencil lead is made of graphite, a highly conductive material. Snapped graphite leads and particles in zero gravity are hugely problematic, as they will get sucked into the air ventilation or electronic equipment, easily causing shorts or fires in the environment of a capsule.

After the fire in Apollo 1 which killed all the astronauts on board, NASA required a writing instrument that wasn’t a fire hazard. Fisher spent over a million dollars (of his own money) creating a pressurized ball point pen, which NASA bought at $2.95 each. The Russian space program also switched over from pencils shortly after.

40 years later snide morons on the internet still snigger about it, because snide morons on the internet never know what they are talking about.

Please share if you want to see facts, truth, and accuracy in Google+'s What's Hot category. Hopefully this posts make people think more about what they read. For science!
