On Monday, 7/18/16, we celebrated a birthday and decided to come to this restaurant to celebrate. I haven't been to the restaurant in years. I was very disappointed with my selection, Shrimp Po Boy was horrible...very tiny shrimp, very little lettuce- few strands....soggy and not tasty or worth $18. There is no way a 'chef' cooked this poor excuse for a sandwich. I would have been better off going to a food truck for a more superior least they care. The fries were frozen then fried as well as tasteless and dry. My daughter picked up the tab and I am furious that her hard earned money was wasted on this restaurant that cannot hold a candle to the previous owner. My son did not like his burger and the deviled eggs were just....ugh! Obviously, the cook doesn't care what he sends out to customers. I will not be returning. Maybe you should hire a 'real chef'....! The server was very attentive. NO STARS

It seems the White Dog had its day many years ago. Food was trumpeted as "fresh, local, and organic," but it was not very flavorful. Truffle fries were soggy. Chicken breast was floating in butter. The deviled eggs were overcomplicated. Service for lunch took an hour and a half, so don't go if you are in a hurry.

Happy hour specials are great here. It can be a bit pricey otherwise. The food is awesome and only once did I experience less-than-awesome service. I was sitting at the bar and the bartender was rushing around and breaking lots of glasses. Otherwise, everything was great. It's best during times when Penn is out of session.

The food is good however it is very overpriced and also kinda ridiculous. For example why do I need truffles on my fries? One great feature though is the decoration which is different in every room, and gives you something to discuss eat brunch on the weekends

Known for warm hospitality, inspiring and award winning food, the White Dog's historic three brownstones were recently completely renovated offering charming and whimsical dog décor and artwork in its many unique dining spaces and outdoor patio.

Great food, atmosphere, and service! Definitely a favorite restaurant to go to. A little pricier than nearby food but the quality and service are worth it.

I eat at White Dog Cafe each and every time I am in town. I typically order an omelette for lunch and a burger for dinner. The ingredients are local, when possible, and the food is fresh. I highly recommend it!
