“Make Time To Listen...Take Time To Talk"
Children's Mental Health Awareness Week May 7-13

Did you know that research has found that remarkable things can happen if parents and caregivers spent at least 15 minutes of undivided time a day listening and talking with their children? Research also tells us that children really do look to their parents and caregivers for advice and help about difficult choices and decisions.

The National Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health has tools and materials to help you Make Time to Listen...Take Time to Talk, an initiative developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to promote healthy child development and to prevent youth and school-based violence.

Is It Ok To Eat the Same Foods Every Day?

YES.......and NO!
It's a good idea to maintain a consistent diet, like a salad for lunch and fish and vegetables for dinner, particularly if you are trying to lose weight. Keeping things simple narrows your choices so you are less likely to get off track. However, eating a variety of foods means a wider range of nutrients to keep you healthy, so make sure you get a rainbow of produce and mix of lean proteins and whole grains.
