Ophir,Imogene,Cinnamon,Engineer,Hurricane,California,Clear Lake, Animas Forks, Alpine Loop and more,Yankee Boy, American Basin and more Forest Service roads than I can possibly remember, a darn good trip despite it ending a few days early with a trip to the ER due to playing superman and flying over my handlebars.

As fun as the passes were, I enjoyed exploring the county roads and forest service roads down in that area much, much more. The passes have a lot more people, but you can get out into the FSRs and ride 20 miles and not see a soul.

Saw 2x baby moose with their mother, a golden eagle over off of engineer pass, what I thought was a weasel or something along those lines. Of course the usual elephant mice at altitude and of course a good number of marmot as well, with one being so comfortable around people that I thought it was stuffed.

The bike performed perfectly, maybe a bit of a pig for where I took it, but I look forward to making it down there again on the bike and maybe on a smaller bike. Picking up a 325lb bike with 30 more lbs of gear on it at 12,000 feet will take all of the energy you have.

Thank you shoei for getting my head home in one piece.

Ready for round 2.

First trip on the new bike. Rmnp back down to 70. Hail, pouring rain and knobbies made for a fun trip. Still loved it.

Another trip to MOAB in the books.
Great times, great laughs, some frustrations, but all with great people so it was an awesome time. Got to do some cool trails, got to see some beautiful sights and got away from the hyper-connected world I live in for at least a little while.

Amazingly it rained a good chunk of the time we were there. Fairly rare for the desert.

I need to fix some broken parts, add some armor and then I'll be ready for the return trip once it starts to cool off again in MOAB.

It appears that +SourceForge took over the control of the 'GIMP for Windows' account and is now distributing an ads-enabled installer of GIMP. They also locked out original owner of the account, Jernej Simončič, who has been building the Windows versions of GIMP for our project for years.

So far they haven't replied to provide explanations. Therefore, we remind you again that GIMP only provides builds for WIndows via its official Downloads page.

Adventure number 1 into the mountains stopped by snow. Adventure number 2, hindered by hail.

So I spent last week in Chile for LACNIC/LACNOG where I spent most of my time meeting with various providers in South america to talk about delivery of cat videos.

I did get out a little bit and explore and what I found I absolutely loved. I didn't really do anything touristy, just hung out in the city and explored within walking distance. What I found made me want to move there. Whether or not that will happen is up in the air, but I'm 100% positive I will be back there again, even if only for vacation.

I didn't take that many pictures, but here are the few that I did snap.

Left Hand -> Ward - > RMNP -> Walden -> Poudre Canyon -> Home
The entire ride was beautiful with the aspens turning, but 125 between Granby and Walden was absolutely amazing.

Today was the first time that I've been up left hand canyon since the flood a little more than a year ago and the area, while passable, still shows a lot of signs of damage from the flood.  I used to ride that route 3-4 times per week, with it being a therapy of sorts for me. Seeing it in the shape it was in with a large part of the road  still gone was pretty sad and I didn't want to take any pictures. While sad, it's amazing how mother nature reclaims what is hers and does away with most of our work with a small rainfall.

Another first today, saw a dog with four prosthetic legs. Another thing I didn't take pictures of, but the pup lost its limbs to frost bite  and had prosthetics on all limbs. I found an article here: http://dogtime.com/bionic-dog-nakio-first-dog-to-get-four-prosthetic-legs.html
