Experience the Iconic Sagamore Art Week Brunch on Saturday, December 8th from 9am - 1pm --> +The Sagamore Hotel Miami Beach is pleased to host the 17th annual Iconic Sagamore Brunch. The private, invitation-only affair will include art activations and performances by The Chophouse Band led by rock legend and Grammy Award winning artist and musician Jason Newsted. The musical group is made up of Newsted, who is the former bassist of Metallica, Amir Tal on guitar, Robert John Tucker on drums and Joe Ledesma on bass. The event will also include a contemporary ballet presentation by Grace Arts FL and the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami with live acoustic interpretive guitar melodies by Alberto Puerto, a Cuban American musician. Experience the work of internationally collected Artist & Filmmaker +Cheryl Maeder at +SCOPE Art Show during Art Basel Miami Beach Week December 4-9, 2018 exhibiting with Galerie Vivendi/Paris, Booth B15. Collectors and art lovers are gathering at the 18th edition of SCOPE Miami Beach, which returned to Ocean Drive and 8th Street in its bespoke pavilion on the sand. Cheryl Maeder's photographs are in the permanent museum collection of +The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum in Miami, exhibited internationally - The +Musée du Louvre in Paris, SFMOMA +San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Cooper Union in New York, +Norton Museum of Art in Palm Beach and Cornell Art Museum in Delray Beach. Her work is also auctioned at Sotheby's, NY. Maeder had a solo exhibition at Miami International Airport - MIA in 2015, and was recently selected by +PBS for Project Filmmaker, South Florida, funded by the +National Endowment for the Arts.

Contemporary Chinese Artist Fu Wenjun at Art Miami booth AM433 December 4-9, 2018 --> experience the incredible work of Fu Wenjun 傅文俊 at Art Miami during Art Basel Week. Fu Wenjun is a revolutionary artist based in Chongqing, China, whose work reflects on the various dichotomies presented in Eastern and Western cultures, including notions of culture in an age of globalization, traditional Chinese culture in a rapidly changing society, and the effects of industrialization and urbanization in Chinese cities. By utilizing a unique process which he calls “Digital Pictorial Photography”, Fu is able to merge together aesthetics from both the East and the West to create images which are striking in their ability to transcend categories and traditions. His new series titled, Wind from Tibet, will be shown at the fair. Guests will enjoy an exciting selection of approximately sixty works selected from over 500 objects of contemporary German art drawn from the deep holdings of the renowned Rubell Family Collection. The exhibition chronicles this landmark period through cutting-edge painting, sculpture and photography from some of the most important practitioners of contemporary art. During the post-World War II era, Düsseldorf and Cologne became leading centers for contemporary art. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, both Berlin and Leipzig also emerged as important contemporary art centers. Few countries have had four major centers of contemporary art at one time. On view through January 6th, 2019 at the Vero Beach Museum of Art.
