I was hesitant to have my husband's 40th birthday party here because of past reviews. However, since most of them were pretty old, I thought I'd give it a shot and I'm very happy I did! When I called to ask about reservations, the manager explained that it's difficult to arrange for large blocks of tables this time of year (the average temp is around 30 at night, so the patio is closed). We agreed on an earlier time (7 p.m.) to avoid having a full waiting area with a bunch of open tables, which I get can be really bad for business. When we got there, they had a curtained off area for us (felt fun in a VIP kind of way), tables set up and two excellent servers dedicated to our party. Ashley and Maria were top notch, made excellent recommendations and just could not have been nicer to our group. The margaritas were some of the best I've ever had (the Don Quixote is spicy while the Blue Agave [might have that name wrong] was lighter and fruitier) and the food was delicious. As long as you're willing to work with the restaurant so it's a win for everyone, I thought this was a fabulous place for a birthday and I would definitely recommend it.
