This is one of the problems for this time... how people whose ideas are so discordant can live together? There is a process of blending, and it is my sense that anything that represses succumbs before tolerance/acceptance, but that change is so slow that people in their day-to-day affairs end up colliding with others who don't share their views, and someone ends up feeling threatened. How to have such divergent views of existence live together? Without threatening one another. -- One answer certainly is "WALLS". Trouble is, no one can make a wall high enough, or at least hasn't so far. Every place they have been tried, people cross the barrier. Maybe that's OK though if it lets people stay behind who have no wish to cross. If only people on both sides didn't want to do things to or for or with those on the other side of the wall.
