Yes, I understand that global warming models are based solely on land based temperatures but the hydrosphere is 70% of the earth's surface. Also, the atmosphere is not part of the models. In two short videos, Freeman Dyson explains why we should be measuring the temperature of the  stratosphere among other things.  These videos are a little dated but interesting. Also, a fascinating synopsis of Freeman Dyson life and philosophy can be read on Wikipedia.

Part 2: Freeman Dyson on Global Warming 2of2 Stratospheric Cooling

Thanks for the video, where did you buy the skin?

Hey Howard, I got the skin from a guy on congaplace, Jaisen Torres, I have one flat left and one pre-tucked 113/4 that unfortunately slipped out the hoop. I'll probably reflatten it and see if I can squeeze it on a quinto. Very nice skins, unlike most freshly tucke skins these don't seem to have much of a breakin period.

This is one of the problems for this time... how people whose ideas are so discordant can live together? There is a process of blending, and it is my sense that anything that represses succumbs before tolerance/acceptance, but that change is so slow that people in their day-to-day affairs end up colliding with others who don't share their views, and someone ends up feeling threatened. How to have such divergent views of existence live together?  Without threatening one another.  -- One answer certainly is "WALLS".  Trouble is, no one can make a wall high enough, or at least hasn't so far. Every place they have been tried, people cross the barrier. Maybe that's OK though if it lets people stay behind who have no wish to cross. If only people on both sides didn't want to do things to or for or with those on the other side of the wall.

I purchased a set of new Lp Giovanni's for a very good price. The quinto sounded terrible. I ordered a new skin from Manito and now it sounds great and reduced the ringing. The other three have an annoying ringing. They are 32" and very heavy because of three ply construction and hardware. I believe they weigh 42 lbs. Not good for traveling. I wouldn't buy them again.

Want online word processor, spreadsheet, slide presentation, collaboration, free 5GB online storage, sync with your hard drive, try Google Drive. Pretty impressive app that is free and will only get better.
