I loved the wild grass where you could sit and fell like out of the big city, somewhere on the countryside. I loved the trees... So many old trees wherever you look. Also, i enjoyed the lake at sunset with all the birds flying around the sun or floating on its reflection.

Grand parc verdoyant, dommage que la circulation à vélo y soit si limitée.

Hyde Park is such an important part of London; iconic, beautiful gardens and parkland, rich in history dating back to Henry VIII.
London's Hyde Park makes me feel like a tourist – and that’s in a good way, not bad! I could quite easily idle away a few hours wandering around the park and it's gardens, gazing at the famous landmarks, which includes the Diana, Princess of Wales, memorial fountain.
Watching the joggers run along the well laid out paths makes even me think that if I lived nearer I might start up jogging! The buzz and energy from London residents playing sports and keeping fit is impressive, but I personally am more likely to be found sitting at a cafe having a bite to eat. I would recommend the sandwiches at Hyde Park Tennis and Sports Centre Cafe, delicious and reasonably priced for London.
The property and architecture around Hyde Park is quite frankly breathtaking and gives you a brief insight into how the other half live! If it’s history you love go see Speakers’ Corner where public speeches and debates have taken place since the mid 19th century. Lastly don't forget to go and see the serpentine, Hyde Park’s beautiful lake, where you can take a boat ride or just sit back and relax.
Top tip: keep an eye out for events taking place, including the famous Winter Wonderland.

For a long time, I thought Hyde Park is nice and boring - but I found out that this is not true. Yes, most of Hyde Park is flat and not much more than a little bit of grass in the middle of a city. Then, there are also parts of Hyde Park that stand out.
Since I've started walking to work regularly during one of these annoying tube strikes, I am crossing Hyde Park about once or twice a week and I really enjoy walking past the Italian Gardens and along the Serpentine River. Watching all these dogs running around and just breathing the relatively fresh air you get in the middle of the park.
One good thing about Hyde Park is, that it is so big, and one end is very different from the other end. In between, you find a lot of beautiful nature, you just have to walk around and explore the park, and not only stay between Marble Arch and Hyde Park Corner all the time.
I still prefer Regent's Park over Hyde Park, but as Regent's Park is not on my way to work, I learnt to appreciate Hyde Park as well - and it was not too hard. Hyde Park is definitely a great place to be on a sunny day.
