Chili sauces are replaced with delicate tomatillo sauces and unique moles; handmade tortillas, homemade queso fresco, herbs and spices are combined with dried chiles to complement the cuisine.

When we first moved to Dallas a few years ago this was our restaurant of choice. The mole was a dish worth traveling to consume. Unfortunately, they changed chefs and the direction was less authentic and more "creative". "White Mole" is not a thing.

Owner helped us at the bar - outstanding hospitality and great drinks/chips/salsa!

Loved my entire experience at Komali. Cool, clean and contemporary atmosphere with a very knowledgeable staff. Excellent food and drink. I had their special Margarita that has been voted multiple times as the "Best Marg in Dallas". Loved it. I had their Halibut as my main course and loved it too. I didn't leave feeling miserable as you do when you leave a traditional "tex mex" spot. I would highly recommend!

My family went to Komali for Mother's Day lunch. It was highly recommneded to us so we were very excited to dine here. We have 2 small children, 1 yr & 2 1/2 yrs old. When I asked the hostess for high chairs, she rolled her eyes at me and said "I will get" - very rude. She then bought out 2 disgustingly filthy highchairs that had dried up coffee grounds all over them. We tried to clean them with Wet Wipes but had to scrub at the chairs. She came back over and wiped the chairs with a wet cloth, which did nothing. The waiter came over & tried to clean them and nothing came off. I asked for new chairs and they brought over 2 more that were just as dirty, so we had to hold both kids the entire lunch. We ordered the queso fundido, and while it was amazing, they only brought us 4 small tortillas for 6 people. We asked twice for more and never recieved any. Our waiter was either on an espresso high or a drug induced high because he could barely stand still long enough to take our order and I was so so rushed in placing my order that I didn't get a chance to order my kids' meals. The waiter also got our drink orders wrong twice and never refilled our waters. He didn't ask if we were interested in dessert or how our meals were. Unfortunately, we will not return here even though the food was outstanding.

Komali is a spin on modern latin food. The wait staff is very nice and accommodating. The food was good, but I got the flank steak and it wasn't anything special but fine. The best part were definitely the margaritas.

Not a great experience. If you are up for weird food that can be either too spicey or too bland, all under the pretence of "creativity", then you found your place. We took the recommendation of the waiter and ordered the spicy Ribs. It was so spicy that we couldn't taste the flavor; very amateurish. The halibut was very bland and no flavor! The chips and salsa was decent but make sure not to crack your teeth on the chips. Service was friendly and the place was buzzing with loudness and a decent atmosphere. Overall, I don't think we'd go back. Too many better choices for the price.

We couldn't have had a more delectable evening! The food, drinks, service & hospitality made it the perfect evening to mix friends, guests. Chef Abe knows what he's doing -- & the servers & bar staff made it a delight. This was our first time to Komali, but definitely won't be our last! -- we enjoyed the scrumptious share plates. Thanks for the memorable & very special dinner at Komali!

Komali has become my go-to place. The addition of Chef Anastacia Quinones is taking Komali to the next level of deliciousness. Wonderful drinks from Leann at the bar - get a michelada with her house-made mix. Yummy! Try whatever looks good to you - I've never chosen something I didn't like. I hate to see that JM had bad service - my experience has always been the opposite.

Komali hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
