On a personal note, this is a product my brother invented that is completely awesome if you are potty training your child. I highly recommend Wee Wizards. And, yes, I've tried it and it actually works :)

Although I haven't been posting as often as I'd like I did want anyone who is on the edge of their seat waiting for my next G+ note to know that I am transitioning over to my SoccerPro.com account - https://plus.google.com/110760729907822355087. You'll notice how similar it looks to this account. Please add my new account to your circles... I promise good things will come to you.

Now that is what I'm talking about! A much better performance (aside from a few minutes at the beginning that I've already forgotten). Their 3-1 win over Guatemala was sweetness. Qualifying for the World Cup isn't getting any easier for the USA. The boys could've had a much tougher time tonight but they figured out how to keep possession. Fewer bad traps. Fewer bad passes. And, some serious nose-for-the-goal from Clint "Deuce" Dempsey made the game a ton of fun to watch. Heck, maybe Klinsmann actually has a plan and its working! I have a lot of hope for the next round. Let's give Mexico a nod for probably grabbing one spot in Brazil. The USMNT looks like a good fit for one of the other two.

The US National Team is playing tonight and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to watch it because the new network agreement with beIN doesn't get all the way to my living room. That doesn't mean I don't want to go WAY out of my way to watch our boys play for World Cup 2014 credentials. It's just a big inconvenience... anyone know how to get the US v Antigua game? Anyone at ESPN listening?

Finally, adidas returns to the Tango style ball and it has a new case to it that makes it feel great... like the Teamgeist of 2006. I haven't like the dimpled texture of the Speedcell. This is a big improvement.

Ended up we thought this SoccerPro Google+ page would be a lot better than the last one... a lot of coffee went into the decision. See our NEW AND IMPROVED Google+ page!

SoccerPro.com is large and in charge on Google+! I love it. Look forward to hanging out and all kinds of funness (not a real word but you know what I mean).

I didn't think it could happen but adidas found a way to make a shoe so bright that it vibrates. The new adidas adiZero isn't delivered until December but it has already hit the web as the next best shoe. It has been modified from the current adiZero to include the miCoach pod. miCoach tracks your pace and distance run and then you can upload the info to your iPod or iPhone. I'd probably be very disappointed in how much I didn't run during a game but for more aggressive athletes the miCoach would really help manage your training. Two months and counting before the adiZero hits the field.

Nike and adidas are learning - Less is More
I've been using soccer cleats for a long time and part of soccer retail for about 8 years. It felt like for the past 4 or 5 years it has been a race to add the most 'technology' to a shoe by adidas and Nike. They were going crazy trying to add parts and pieces to their high end shoes to make them better. FINALLY, they both seem to realize that less can mean more with a soccer shoe. Even with the crazy colors, both adidas and Nike are streamlining the 'technology' and putting more emphasis on the comfort and fit of the shoe. Making a light weight shoe that holds up to tough game play. I love that we have less touch control pads across the upper. A lighter shoe is good, too. The new Nike Laser IV is a great example of how they are reducing the size of the shield across the top to just the key areas of a shooter's sweet spot. The last version was over the top with its 'shot shield'. The new Laser IV is lighter than the last version and the upper seems to have a better overall fit for most players. Next year's styles (which I got to see recently) continue the trend of streamlining the shoe. Thank goodness. If the soccer shoe 'technology' war continued we'd being seeing real laser beams on the Nike Laser. I'm glad Nike backed down.

Now that I've seen Landon Donovan trash talk I've got a lot more respect for him. The pirate comment was superb... well played, Mr. Donovan.
