Travis CI + GCE + Docker + Test Kitchen == AWESOME
An issue that has long plagued the DevOps community: "How do I test my open source cookbooks entirely on Travis CI?" Up until now the for the most part answer has been, "You can't." The Old Way The current (old) way to handle running Test Kitchen with Travi...

This is the tech I have been looking to find! Radar based motion and gesture is far more practical than camera/optical based sensing and potentially far less expensive.

Google unveils Project Soli: a radar-based wearable to control anything
Would you like to be able to Force Push and turn on your lights... yeah this will let you do that. This isn't a smart watch, this is a smart YOU that can interact with real objects... virtually.

It's like you can pinch and zoom but you don't to touch anything. The radar in a wearable will detect your hand movements and allow you to interact with virtual objects in the real world. This looks awesome.

The video is worth a Saturday morning watch... and you can read more about it here: http://goo.gl/qxZSS2

Of all the photos I took during my stay at Limekiln -- and belive me there are many -- this is probably my favorite. This amazing photo really shows what the 25mm Leica glass can do in low light, as this was shot at dusk in the shadows of the redwood forest.

Last week I went camping at Limekiln State Park in the Big Sur region of California. This is one of the many HDR shoots I took, which I wanted to share with everyone.

Desodoldering braid has always been a PITA for me... personally, I have never been able to desolder anything with braid. I have had good luck with a cheap $15-25 desoldering iron from radio shack, and ample patients. Either way, desoldering is an aquired skill; regardless of the tools at hand. A desoldering iron makes it slightly less painful for me because it allows me to visibly see the solder's physical state when attempting to remove it from wherever it may be.

While trying solder a maker shield for my arduino, i messed up the alignment for the headers and was not able to desolder it. So i went and cut the header off. If i was to buy new headers, would I be able to solder it back to the right header holes? Will anything wrong happen?

Merry X-Mas -- your credits cards have been compromised!

Oh man.... this is bad. For those who are asking, what should I do? Well, you can sit and wait -- probably nothing bad will happen to most people. Alternatively, you can (and perhaps should) request a new card number from your bank(s).
40 million shoppers could be at risk for credit and debit card fraud.
