This is an authentic Italian eatery, owned and operated by real Italians. I have dined there many times and have thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Raffaella is the chef and the brains at this establishment. I'm a pasta snob and she cooks her pasta perfectly every time. Loris patrols the front of the restaurant. He knows wine and has collected a fabulous selection at very reasonable prices. Loris loves jazz and his selections will compliment a good meal. It's a family run business so you'll often see their daughter there guiding the wait staff. Don't let her fool you, her mom's Bolognese sauce is to die for, rich and meaty. This is a great place and Loris and Raffaella are wonderful people. Tell them Scott sent you!

I've lived in Italy for 3 years while I was in the Army. This restaurant is the real deal. This is the exact food that you would get if you were visiting Italy, not the Americanized garbage like olive Garden and Carrabba's. The food is great and the owner/operators are authentic as well. I just wish they changed up the menu a little. If you don;t like this, you don't like real Italian food.

I have been to Bacco several times in the past and have always had a good experience. I particularly enjoy the Beef Tenderloin in peppercorn sauce, although the other dishes are also very good. If you are unsure about wines, make sure to ask the owner, Loris, for a recommendation. So far, he has a very good track record for recommending wine to my liking.

Outstanding. I try to visit whenever I'm in town. My favorite Melbourne restaurant!

Menu is designed around multiple courses, which is authentic Italian style. They do offer a cheaper full meal rate that includes the two entrees and a dessert, but fully expect to pay over $50 a person for dinner. Ignoring price, the food is excellent although we haven't had a chance to try the wine.

I found Bacco Wine Cafe by purchasing a voucher through Groupon. I was more than pleased with my experience. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Our food was phenomenal. We chose to get the house wine in a large carafe and it fit right in with our meal. Our server helped us decide on a favorite dish of his and he nailed it. Great place all around. Will definitely be back for more.

I really don't want to put this place down because they seem so nice in here but I felt it important to warn people who are looking for a good value this is not your place. I wanted to like this place, but the food is overpriced and not really that wonderful. I enjoyed the salad and the dressing but the pasta was just okay.
