Parking can be tricky here. The service is pretty basic but the food is good. The imperial rolls are peppery and meaty. They are fried very crisp. The pork kebabs are very thin slices that tend to be drier than most. The pho is lighter and sweeter than other places. It's a good place for cheap and filling Vietnamese food.

Came in on a week night and was shocked at how fast the service was! Took about 5 minutes from when I seated to get food. Got a curry dish which was eh, mediocre. Big portion, lots of sauce, but not very flavorful. Will likely go back and try something else. Price was very cheap!

Awesome Vietnamese restaurant, would highly recommend. Food is great, huge portions, service is incredibly fast and everyone is nice. This is the perfect hole in the wall place to get your grub on.

Great BIG portions. Holy hell. Good food and the place was packed. Orders are big enough for 2 or 3. Great prices.

Great service that was friendly and accommodating. I had the wonton soup and my friends shared shrimp fried rice. The soup was phenomenal, so flavorful and balanced. I had a bite of the shrimp fried rice but wasn't as impressed. Prices are also good - you can get large portions for less than $8 on most any dish. The imperial rolls are a secret standout. I'll be going back to try more of the menu.

I was on the first floor so it was a little crowded but the service and the pho were really good. I will definitely come back to try some more stuff from the menu.

I have been eating at Tu LAN for decades. I love it. These days my fave item is the vn style beef. So good!

The retardant is located in a very sketchy neighborhood “ Tenderloin” in the city. The price tag is not quite reflecting that factor and on a higher end. I was disappointed when I was told by the waitress that she couldn’t separate the sliced beef from the noodle. It is quite common service that almost all Vietnamese restaurants would provide but not at Tu lan obviously. The lady claims “ the meat is thick”. I ordered “ Beef ball noodle instead”. It is definitely the worst beef ball noodle that I have ever had. The beef ball is tasteless and the broth is full of MSG. It doesn’t even come with a bean sprout and lemon wedges until I asked. All in all, I won’t come back this restaurant again. For a nice restaurant in a notorious area, it might worth risking your life to try. But Tu Lan is not one of them.
