Ben survived his one-week Outward Bound trip.   He bought $20 of junk food at the airport (to be fair, that's not a lot of food at an airport) and we stopped at In-n-Out on the way home.   So glad he went, so glad he's home :)

From the new Type A Series 1 printer in the CH hackerspace.  The build platform is 12" square and this figure is about 4" high - this is how it printed, no supports for the overhangs.  Beautiful.

Monster Plushie class for adults.   The most noticeable difference between this class and the Curiosity Hacked Open Lab:  total silence while people are working.  It was a little eerie!

The projects were ambitious (many of these people had little or no sewing experience)  and so well executed.  We will def. be doing this again.

This is 10x true if your kids have access to equipment of any kind.  Even cardboard and tape can be used to great destructive effect....

Some of today's DIY Monster plushies.   We've added embroidered eyes (computer-controlled embroidery of course) and 'real' plastic toy eyes to the lineup but the true awesome-sauce is the kids imagination.
