Not a good place for vegetarians or people on a schedule, but delightful wine selection. Granted, we were in a large party and clearly not in a rush, but with a 7p reservation and moving at the rate the waitress proposed, we did not get our entrées until after 9p, and two plates were further delayed because they were sent to a concurrent event instead of our table. As a vegetarian looking at the option of an appetizer or a cheese pizza for dinner, I asked the waitress what other vegetarians had done. Boston is known for catering to people of different eating persuasions, but this menu had little to offer for GF, vegetarians, and the like. Our waitress suggested I order a few sides, or I could have a pasta-veggies dish. I opted for the latter and received small-shell pasta dripping in over-salted and over-peppered butter sauce with a few buttery vegetables and a scant teaspoon of parmesan cheese. Because it was so late by the time we finally ate, I was glad I wasn't very hungry anymore, since the dish was not very good. After paying a whopping $17 for some pasta, I will not go back. Our waitress was nice, but because the restaurant was "busy" that evening (7p Saturday night), the service was quite slow and only when she needed information from us - I don't recall being checked on between when our meals came and when we ordered dessert. I will say my water glass was never less than half full! That being said, the atmosphere was nice, carnivores enjoyed their dinner, and my $18 glass of wine was lovely.

I would only come here for drinks -- the food is over-priced and not very good. Their drinks are very well made though! They have a good amount of seating. It's a nice place to go on a Friday night with friends if you're looking for something a bit classier.

Took a while for the waiter to come over to our table. Another drawback is it was nearly impossible to hear anyone speak across the 6-top. Food unmemorable, atmosphere still has convention conference room feel, with strange shadow boxes that made no sense. Long story short, for what they charge for their food (which was fine by the way) they need to at the very least offer a level of service to reflect that.

A very nice place. The outside tables is a good environment to spent some time with friends or family. Food was divine! Service efficient. No complains. I would definitely return and recommend.

Exceptional dining experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Everyone in my party raved at every course from the artfully designed Caesar salad to the Steak Tartare to the Lobster Popovers and Skirt steak -- every dish exceeded expectations.

Mostly come for drinks. The food is okay. The drinks are okay. They don't have an exciting cocktail menu but there are some good ones. The scene can vary. Sometimes good young professional crowd but mostly older people these days since it has been around for many years. They should do something to cater to younger crowd at night. The doormen can also be rude while waiting to get in and you still have to push through the crowd once inside the bar even though the whole restaurant is a big space, the bars are squished in the front and side room.

a nice lounge in boston, good place to grab a drink when you feel like something other than an irish bar. went there for Dine In Boston, food was okay, soup was a little salty and short rib dish was not salty enough, but good overall.

Good atmosphere. Good service. Definitely on the pricey side, but I love the lobster popovers. Prefer to sit in the bar area and just get apps instead of a full meal. Will be back for the lobster popovers.
