This is an experiment I did using Sinevibes  Multitude delay plugin. I recorded this live in one take after trying out various effects and combinations.

I need to geek out for a minute here. This is just about one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time. Sebastien Schiesser, Matthias Müller, Jan Schacher, and German Toro-Perez at the Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology have created…

Walking Song (aka Multitude Experiment 2)

Here’s another solo performance I made using Ableton Live and Sinevibes Multitude delay plug-in. It was recorded in one take today. In case you missed it, you can hear my first experiment with this amazing plug-in here.

Here are three excerpts of Wenzel Fuchs (principle clarinetist of the Berlin Philharmonic) giving advice in masterclasses at Carnegie Hall. There’s some great stuff here specifically for clarinetists.

Another new post on my blog! This one's about what I'm trying (and not trying) to do when I teach.
Over the last year, I've had a lot of experiences that have challenged  me to think carefully about what I'm doing as a musician. The specifics don't matter too much so I won't bore you with them. But I feel like it's worth sharing some of my thoughts ...

Hi Mani - I'm glad you liked the video and found it helpful! Yes - you can add a delay to just one sample (of a pair) but it's a little cumbersome. Inside your drum rack, create an instrument rack (cmd-G) that holds the sample you wanted delayed plus the delay effect. In the same Instrument rack (NOT the same sampler) place the other sample. When you hit the drum pad, it should play both samples at the same time, but the delay will only effect the first sample.
