Do you own a pool? If so, start by asking yourself these safety questions:
1. Does your pool or spa have a fence around it?
2. Are you pool gates self-closing and self-latching?
3. Have you installed door, gate, or pool alarms?
4. Have you installed anti-entrapment drain covers to protect swimmers?
5. Are all pool and spa covers in working order?
6. Has your family received CPR training?
7. Does everyone in your family know how to swim?

Remember the ASU student who was killed in a Tempe road-rage shooting? According to NHTSA 37% of aggressive driving incidents involve a firearm. When it comes to driving, you need to always be the polite and bigger person to protect yourself!
1. Use your horn sparingly. Horns are meant for emergency situations.
2. Apologize! If you’ve accidently done something wrong simply, smile, waive, and acknowledge your mistake.
3. Don’t be a competitive driver. If someone wants to pass you, let them.

Let’s focus on POLITE DRIVING this week! It could save a life or at least make your day a little better. Most dangerous road rage situations tend to involve two aggressive drivers. Someone cuts you off, you flip them off and they then respond. Be a polite driver. Don’t tailgate, cut vehicles off, speed, weave through traffic, or engage in other aggressive driving behavior, especially in response to another drivers actions.
