We used to love to go to Maggies. The fried tacos are the BEST! We have visited 3 times in the last year and the service here is just TERRIBLE. This last time, We started off by ordering (we were a table with 6) she took our order and 15 min went by and they started bringing out orders to people. They were all mixed up.. and twice she tried to bring us a completely different order. (there were only 4 tables occupied by people in the whole restaurant.) A new server came back and took our order. Again we ordered.... two sets of 3 fried tacos, 2 kids meal tacos and a pork burrito. AGAIN they brought us 3 sets of hard shell tacos and then a burrito soup bowl?? I was very confused. My husband went up to talk to the server away from the table.. SHE WAS EATING HER DINNER in the dinning room.. (while all of our glasses were empty as well) she was extremely rude and non apologetic, the COOK however was extremely nice. The server for whatever reason must have been having a bad day. I understand we all have em, but you can't take it out on innocent people that come in to your restaurant to spend money. We ended up paying for the kids tacos (the only thing they got right after 3-4 times coming to the table) and leaving. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. They will learn for a business to succeed you need RETURN customers and word of mouth to be good, I feel like the 3 chances and terrible service over the last year are good enough reason for me to not return and let all my friends and family know.

We used to love Maggies but sadly, each time we go their it gets just a little bit worse. It started before the Spring expansion, with the food starting to take more bland and certain dishes were very dry. The servers were still great though and so we kept buying Groupons to the place. Since the expansion its gotten worse. I'm all for places trying to grow and make money, but it seems that there is more focus on the bar and alcohol sales than the quality of the food. You used to get hot chips and salsa when you arrived at your table. Now, the chips are all pre-dished into their baskets and sit on a counter waiting; obviously cold. The salsa always had a spice to it. Its not your typical "grocery store" salsa, but when we ate their a few nights ago it tasted as if it is now being watered down. Little to no flavor and no spice. Then you get to the food. Some things have flavor others dont. The tacos are always the thing people go here for. There aren't too many places where you get homemade flour taco shells. Unfortunately, while the taco size is getting bigger, the taco flavor has all but dissapeared. You now get a scoop of flavorless, but greesy beef in your taco. When it comes to service, the waitresses are still nice and usually attentive. I think they perhaps have been going through some new waitresses as the faces keep changing. When it comes to the owner, we've visited the restaurant nearly 20 times since its opened and other than the first two months (when everyone was greeted because it was a new business) we no longer are aknowledged. Sadly, we sat 5 feet away from him at the empty bar one evening and he never said hello or welcome or anything. He was too busy playing on his ipad i guess. I hope the owner truly takes these reviews into heart. Lees Summit needs good business in its downtown, and this one still has the potential to be a great place to eat at.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Traditional recipes that don't waiver on what they are. The food is always freshly prepared, very tasty, and affordable. And the owner is a great community citizen. Try the Mole!

No bueno. Upgrade to fresher ingredients and stay way from the fryer. Need several improvements with food and people making it.

Terrible is the only way to describe this place. I was in shock considering it had some great reviews on here. I would go into detail, but I have given it two tries and its disgusting. Please avoid this place! It makes Taco Bell look authentic

We used to frequent this place but after the new ownership took over it has been on the downhill slide.
