IHB is offering a new hand-drum program for guys and girls up to age 24, starting Tuesdays in January 2018.

Call Michael Norcross at 612-721-9809 or email at mnorcross@ihb-mpls.org for more information!

The program is completely free, and no drumming or singing experience required -- just an interest in learning the hand drum and singing traditional Native American songs. We will start with a workshops in which you make your own hand drum and then group lessons weekly after that. We end with a feast with everyone involved for their families to see what they learned.

Culture is healing, so come get involved in you're a youth up to age 24 and interested!

Hi all,
If you walk through Mashkiikii Gitigan these days, you'll see the corn is all tasseled out and pollinated, so now we just wait for giant ears of Oneida corn to appear over the next month!

If you haven't had a chance to stop by the Four Sisters Farmers Market yet, the next market is today (Friday, Aug 5th) in the parking lot of Pow Wow Grounds at 1414 East Franklin Avenue.

We'll have lots of produce available including kale, lettuce, herbs, and cherry tomatoes. Check out the beautiful beet borscht made from ingredients grown in our garden (from a healthy cooking class at IHB).

Also, big thanks to Deanna & Takayla for leading last night's Grow Your Own discussion about fats and for showing us how to make delicious Three Sisters Soup (pictured: Deanna Beaulieu teaching us how to make Three Sisters Soup. So delicious!).

See you in the garden!

Exciting progress in making our clinic work and look better for you!

Our second floor remodel project is starting to take shape. It will be complete in mid- to late-October, but here are a few before-and-during photos to let you know what we're up to.

We'll have more over the next few weeks and also the "after" photos end of October!
