Amazing place and atmosphere. Phenomenal Service. Food was incredibly good and the drinks were made perfectly. Rarely give reviews but with the overall dining experience being as good if not better than the food it was a wonderful place to dine. Thank you to the wonderful staff. Will be back soon!

Great place to spend Saturday night with a glass of wine and great ambience. A bit pricy but it's a great place.

It wasn't exactly what we expected as far as menu selections. Not really impressive but it'll get the job done . Chicken was good, not great though.

A real gem downtown! Although on a busy night the waitstaff can feel just a bit bustling, we were served graciously and speedily before a performance. Inventive and excellent food and a romantic atmosphere. Wine list seems very good for someone uneducated--we had a terrific multepulciano by the glass. The appetizers were outstanding.

Thank you for the review, Adam. "Inventive, excellent food and a romantic atmosphere" -- that is exactly what we aim to provide to our guests. It's wonderful to hear we're executing on it and that you appreciate it! I'll be sure to share you compliments with the kitchen as well as the waitstaff. Please come back and see us again! -Courtney Lynch-Crawford, Owner

I made reservations at 8:00pm days in advance for my girlfriend and I to dine here on a Saturday night. We showed up at the restaurant at 7:50pm. When we walked up to the hostess booth, she was occupied with her I-pad device. A waiter passing by acknowledged us and confirmed our reservations and passed us onto the hostess. The floor manager who was an older fellow with glasses told us it would be a few minutes and our table would be ready, the couple were paying their bill and they needed to clean it. Neither the hostess or floor manager offered to take our jackets, but they offered every other individual that came in after us to take their coats to hang up. I found this to be very impolite. We went out into the bar area and sat down to wait. The bartender attended to us swiftly (the only individual I commend for great service during our visit) offering us a drink menu and dinner menu to look at. We ordered wine from him after a few minutes. The time was now 8:00pm and following 8:00pm and beyond, other couples of two walked in at various times in which their jackets were taken and they were seated, as we still waited. At 8:05pm another couple walked in, their jackets were taken and they were told it would be a few minutes as well and they sat in the bar area behind us. After that a few more couples of two entered at various times between 8:06pm and 8:10pm and were seated as we still waited and the other couple behind us waited. A couple that came in at 8:10pm had their jackets taken and they were sent to the bar area to wait. The floor manager came into the bar area at 8:12pm and told the couple sitting behind us that their table would be ready in a few minutes, but says nothing to us. So I decided to give it till 8:15pm for us to be seated which was 15 minutes passed our reservation time and we checked in 25 minutes ago. At 8:15pm I told my girlfriend I was closing the tab and we are going to head to McCormick & Schmick’s up a few blocks. I approached the bar and told the bartender I wanted to close our tab because we were leaving. The bartender said okay and told me to hold on for second and he left from behind the bar and walked into the dining area. The floor manager came into the bar area and told me that our table was now ready. Imagine that, after horrible customer service from the hostess and floor manager, my table was now magically ready since I was ready to leave. I told the floor manager politely it was too late and that we were taking our business elsewhere. The only thing I commend the floor manager for was covering our wine on behalf of their horrible service manners. I will never come back here again after being treated like this. This review is simply aimed towards their customer service from the perspective of the floor manager and hostess. If you make reservations here, just be aware of what could occur. Over the course of my life, every time I have made reservations somewhere to eat I show up early or on time and either get seated or I have typically waited for at most four minutes. I make reservations every time I go to Washington D.C. and have never had this problem nor have I experienced this problem with restaurants downtown in Pittsburgh until recently.

RUDE SERVICE, WILL NOT RETURN My girlfriend and I were in town for a Pirates game and we had a little time to kill before the game started so we decided to find a bar. We came to Nine of Nine and were lured in by their happy hour sign on the sidewalk. While the prices and the food were good, the service was terrible. After entering it took nearly 15 minutes in an uncrowded bar before the bartender even asked us for our order. This would be ok if he was making drinks and busy, but he went out of his way to waste time asking other patrons if they needed refills on their drinks before and making sure nothing else could be done before taking our order. I dismissed it as nothing and we got 2 beers and an order of hummus. We sat down and slowly drank our beers while waiting for our food. Hummus, as you know, does not need to be cooked, so we were expecting to have it right away and still have plenty of time to make it to the game before the first pitch. Our beers got finished, the pitch was made, and still no hummus. It took over half an hour for us to receive our order, again in an uncrowded bar. I was even further perturbed when my girlfriend pointed out the bartender gave a girl who entered AFTER us a FREE order of hummus before we received the order we were paying for. We were both very polite the entire time so there is no excuse for the poor service we were given. It's clear some people get preferred treatment in this bar while unfamiliar faces are not welcome.
