Photos from last week's tour of the UTS Gehry building. I wonder if Dr Chau Chak Wing is annoyed no one uses his name when referring to this building.

Highlights: obviously the facade, but wow - the fire stair.
Lowlights: the bathroom. Blah!
Overall: it's not an Opera House but it is iconic and does generate discussions about architecture in Sydney.

Hanging out at Ballast Point Park on Saturday for Ksenia's birthday. Such a gorgeous park. Oh, and the people were lovely too.

Officially jealous. When I lived in Balmain this park was an abandoned oil terminal, now it's "Australia's Best Public Space"

Mental health in the construction industry... it's time to talk about it.

Did you know construction workers are more than twice as likely to suicide than other people in Australia? Or that construction workers are six times more likely to die by suicide than through a workplace accident?

Mental health in the workplace is something we don’t easily talk about. Yet, when you look at statistics in the Construction industry, it is hard to ignore the issue. Come to this breakfast event to find out how you can support your staff, coworkers, friends and loved ones and help spot the signs.

Whoo! I've been shortlisted for round 2 of the Dulux Study Tour competition. One step closer to a geeky architecture tour of Tokyo, Paris and London!

Phuong Le's +1's are the things they like, agree with, or want to recommend.
Very cute little cafe with good food, coffee & polite staff. I'm totally in love with their haloumi baguette, their smoked salmon crepe & their rich chocolate brownie. I drink soy coffees and they make them well here. This is a place I definitely recommend.
