Just added a scavenger hunt with prizes- will you be joining us?
Come join +Joe Sterne from the +The Photowalk Alliance to capture some wonderful street photography for the Chinese New Year parade. Started in the 1860's to educate the community about their culture, it is now managed by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce. It is the largest celebration of Asian Culture outside of Asia. Over 100 units will be featured in the parade this year. Come join us to watch and take pictures!

We will also be doing a scavenger hunt. Teams of up to four people will rove the streets of Chinatown, uploading pictures of the "hunted" locations to the businesses’ respective Google+ Local business pages.

All you need to participate is the Google+ Local app on your smartphone. (On Android, it's part of Google Maps.)  After the hunt, we'll head to Tosca Cafe on Columbus to tally the points, hand out prizes and enjoy some drinks together!

+Joe Sterne will be shooting 35mm film as part of his #projectfilm  endeavor.

Schedule:
We will meet at the corner of Sutter and Stockton at 4PM. From there we will start the scavenger hunt before the parade hits that part of the route.

If you lose us, please tweet us at @MrJoeSterne and/ or @Amywhiggins. We will let you know where to find us.

This event is FREE and completely open to the public-- just RSVP and we'll see you this Saturday!

We want your friends at home to be able to enjoy this photographic journey with you. Make sure to RSVP here to add photos to the event! Download the Google+ App, click the event, then Party Mode and start snapping photos. +Amy Higgins        from +Google Local San Francisco will be snapping away with us if you need help.
