How to Keep Your Appliances Working Well and Prevent Bigger Problems
Ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, clothes dryers and washing machines are all big investments. When you purchase a new one, you want it running smoothly for as long as possible. To avoid any problems down the road, here are some easy home maintenance tips.
Oven
Your oven probably has a self-clean feature. Sounds great, right? Truth is, this feature can actually damage your oven. During self-clean mode, the oven’s temperatures raise to extremely high levels that can ruin the oven’s components. The best way to clean your oven is to simply wipe it down after use and clean up spills right away.
Refrigerator
If you want to avoid problems with your refrigerator, keep the condenser clean. The condenser is the coils on the back of the fridge. Simply pull the fridge away the wall. Using the attachment hose on your vacuum cleaner, remove any lint or pet fur that may have lodged itself between the coils.
Dishwasher
To get the most out of your dishwasher, scrape or rinse your dishes first. Bits of food, like rice or couscous, can clog your dishwasher’s pump or sprayer arm. If this happens, food particles can spray all over your dishes, making them even dirtier. Save your appliance and clean your dishes before loading them in the dishwasher.
Clothes Dryer
Dryer maintenance is extremely important because dryers and lint build up are a deadly combination. There are two simple steps to dryer maintenance. First, empty the lint trap every time you run a dryer cycle. Second, clean lint out of the dryer vent line regularly. You can easily do this with a vacuum cleaner. This important step prevents lint built up and dryer fires.
Washing Machine
You want your washing machine to last a long time. The rule of thumb is don’t overload it. Oversized loads can throw a machine off balance, causing damage to your clothes and ultimately damage your appliance. Always ensure that the machine is loosely filled with smaller loads of laundry.
Regular cleaning and maintenance can keep your appliances in working order for a long time. If you ever experience problems with any of your appliances, trust an experienced professional to fix it right, the first time.

Free Standing Fridge
Free Standing Refrigerators are the classic style of fridges and are very common in most homes. This style of refrigerator is normally placed inside an insert in the kitchen wall, so that it normally only protrudes as far out as the kitchen cabinets. when needed, it is very easily pulled out and does not require special installation.
French-Door Fridge
Both French-Door and Side-by-Side Refrigerators are very common in modern homes. French door fridges consist of two adjacent doors that both open the central fridge area. French door fridges are very efficient, and are better at keeping products at a more consistent temperature than other styles, due to the fact that only half of the fridge is normally open at any given time. They also usually have a built-in water dispenser or ice maker.
Side-by-Side Fridge
Side-by-Side Refrigerators have two separate compartments for each of the doors. When it comes to comparing French door to side-by-side, it is mostly a matter of preference, however, the smaller compartments in the side-by-side models sometimes make it difficult to comfortably fit larger items. Side-by-side fridges are also oftencheaper than the French door models.
Bottom Mount Freezer
Bottom Mount Freezers are a very popular feature that is becoming standard in all modern fridges. Placing the freezer at the bottom not only makes it easier for you to see what is in your fridge but simply makes it more convenient to access the more frequently-used items that normally tend to be in the fridge, not in the freezer.
Top Freezer Fridge
Top Freezer Refrigerators are the standard classic design. Top Freezer fridges are offered in a wider variety of sizes than other models, and easily fit into smaller homes without having to downgrade to a mini or a bar fridge.
Compact Fridge
Compact Refrigerators involve a variety of different styles of fridges, which can include mini fridges, bar fridges, drawer and double drawer fridges, and even wine chillers. Mini or bar fridges are the go to item in any small living space.

Washing machine: simple tips for better using
If you want your washing machine to serve you for a long time, at least you need to follow the next simple tips for using your item properly.
Do not overload
Sometimes we want to economise the electricity, water and time. We put all clothes that we have and do the laundry at once, but in this case, the washing machine looses the balance during the spinning of the clothes. Moreover, the overloaded washing machine can’t provide a good result at the end, so your clothes can not be 100% clean. Remember, it is better to wash smaller portions two times rather than one time to ensure cleanliness.
Clean the inside before you wash
From time to time, it is necessary to clean the inside of your washing machine. We don’t pay attention to the dust that accumulates in a drum while loading the washer. In order to have clean clothes and a washing machine in good condition, clean the drum before doing the laundry. It won’t take a lot of time.
Choose the right washing cycle
Depending how many clothes you have, materials and colours, you should choose the right washing cycle. The washing cycle is the speed at which it rinses and spins the clothes. If you choose the wrong cycle, the clothes can be damaged after the wash.
Right amount of detergent and softener
Using an appropriate amount of the detergent and the softener will prevent bad consequences. The necessary amount can be different. So before using it, check the box of detergent for the information. Also, you can find the labels on your washing machine with this information.
Leave the door open
After using your washing machine leave the door a little bit open. This way, the air will circulate and the humidity won’t stay there producing an unpleasant smell.
