My Local Services
Minerva Mill, Station Rd, Alcester, Warwickshire B49 5ET
Been a member of My Local Services for over 4 years now, I find it to be very user friendly and easy to use. Once listed it is easy to log back in at a later date and edit or add any additional services that you may offer your customers. There is the option of either having a free listing or paid. You can also choose to either have a local listing or a national listing.
There is also a side shoot to My Local Services, which is My Local Forums which is free for everyone to use regardless of whether you have a paid business listing or not. Having over the years visited many forums, this is by far one of the best. There is no one upmanship among fellow posters and the topics are wide and varied and very often quite informative, I would recommend that any start up or established business gives it a go with My Local Services, you'll get a free business listing if nothing else from doing so....

Never had a problem, and always seem polite and helpful and at reasonable rates too... difficult to get 5 stars from me, but I believe they deserve it..

Have visited this place 4 times in the last couple of months, I'm guessing as a business they are clinging on for dear life. On my first visit I asked the tattooed chef do I order at the counter or when seated. Was instructed to sit at the single tables by the windows..... I now know why they do this, it gives the impression to people on the outside and those passing that the place is full.... on each of my visits at most 3/4 tables are occupied. I should also state that when initially entering the dining room you will usually find the floor littered with serviettes and other bits of litter...Anything liquid based i.e. baked beans, peas and scrambled eggs are cooked by chef mike... the microwave...You would think that an outlet such as this and charging what it does would actually cook the food rather than microwave it. The coffee served at this establishment tastes like no other coffee I've tasted before or wish to taste again it is vile and when you consider that a jar of Nescafe gold on average costs £5 and the muck they serve costs £2.50 per cup that is some huge mark up on catering coffee.... Today I wanted a burger from the Burger King outlet next door, I'm not sure they have fully grasped the definition of what a fast food outlet is, but a fast food outlet it isn't. I joined the back of a queue of around 10 people, they operate on the format of taking one order, cooking that order and then serving it... before taking the next order and starting the process all over again. Having waited 10 minutes in the queue before realising this I decided on the little chef instead... I should have left at this point... I don't know why, but there seemed to be more waitresses running around with electronic notepads to take orders than there was customers and this has been the case on all my visits.... So having read the grubby sticky menu and deciding what I wanted to eat, I then waited 10 minutes for someone to take my order.... I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and toast and a cup of their vile coffee..... Rightly or wrongly the waitress returned with my order and said that I didn't look happy and she was probably correct.... There was no butter on the toast or butter served separately, by this time I'm just wanting out of this joint, so left the majority of it and went to pay at the till.... The waitress asked if everything was ok and I told her straight that it was crap, which took her aback.... maybe others when they visit these outlets should tell them the truth rather than trying to be polite and nice...... This place is not fit for purpose and it certainly needs a good clean...

Have used this place several times a year for the last 10 years, unfortunately last night was the last time. I've lost count of receiving only partial orders, mainly drinks that don't turn up. I don't know why this happens when you order everything online, so they must have the information in front of them. But last night the food was delivered and it was cold... Its not for me anymore....

The store is generally ok, problems only arise at the checkouts as the checkout staff constantly ask everyone if they want either credit or nectar cards. If someone in the queue in front of you agrees to sign up, expect a long wait. Also if you pay by £50 note do not allow any member of staff to walk away with your money to verify it, they have no right to do so. It is the stores responsibility to have the correct verification equipment at each of the checkouts.

Day staff are good, evening staff are something else with little or no knowledge of products they actually sell... With a 'Am I bothered, do I look like I'm bothered' attitude........ 4 times I had to ask for a product that I had the day before ordered and paid for.... They believed that Screwfix didn't sell the products, so we ended up having a 3 way argument about the product and whether it existed or not..... that was sitting on a shelf waiting for me to pick up...
