We now have no choice but to upgrade to the new Ingress Scanner 1.32.1 ...when you launch ingress it will not let you continue without upgrading.

Just watched Seria A, Fiorentina and AC Milan on Bein sport channel. It's the 2nd match I've seen with Fiorentina and I have to say that Fiorentina look impressive this year.

Just installed JB 4.1.2 on my Nexus 7. I got fed up of waiting, so I forced the update. Went to APS / All / Google Services Framework stopped the service, cleared the data, then restarted the Nexus 7.
After the restart I went into config and checked for the update and there it was.

The new Ingress scanner update 1.32.1 is a nice upgrade.  I like the ability to RECHARGE an individual portal resonator as opposed to only being allowed to recharge all in the previous version.
I also like the new FIRE screen, from were you can now easily change to a different burster to use during attacks, it's a pity that the firing screen does not remember the last burster you used, instead of always selecting the 1st burster in your list.
Still it's a improvement.
I also like the new deployment screen too, just tap on the placement zone and deploy. Great. However the deployment now comes with some serious animations that completely ruin the game.
The animations take ages to complete, it's like the animation
routines were written in LOGO (an old programming language that could never handle graphics very well).
This alone will kill your enthusiasm for deployment and considering the most important part of the game is deployment it is staggering that anyone at Ninatics Q&A let this through into a release candidate for everyday use.

The INVENTORY screen is now easier to handle because they have increased the size of the cursor on the scroll bar, nice.

The LINK button has moved into the middle of the resonator display of the current portal. Why that happened is anyone's guess, moving it has not introduced anything new in it's place. Oh well it's no big thing, maybe something is coming later.

The UPGRADE button now only allows you to upgrade MODS and is simple enough to master, but, some sort of delay has also been
introduced into the upgrade process, as there is a noticeable delay after you press the UPGRADE button.

So, after being impressed with everything, I had to revert to the previous release v1.31.1, since the new deployment animations
absolutely ruins the game.  By the way, I am running Ingress on a Samsung Note II, so my cell phone is not the cause of the delays.
Users on older phones and hardware are going to be even worse off if they install v1.32.1.

Also hated the deploy animation until I realized you don't have to wait for it. Just tap the screen again in the reso area.
