Home-cooked German-American cuisine and seafood too! Homemade soups and desserts. Good variety of German beers and wines. "Break away from the chains and come back home to Scharf's!"

Outstanding authentic German food in a homey environment. They plan on staying put after the closing scare brought many customers. At the dead end of Crossman Street near Villa Marie College. We are repeat customers.

Scharf's has been a family favorite for decades! The location is poor as the neighborhood has gone downhill, but the restaurant is outstanding. Great German beer, liqueurs, & cuisine with friendly service.

The BEST German restaurant in Western New York. Very affordable and delicious food. But it's in danger of closing because it's in a "bad neighborhood." Which really means that people are too afraid to drive 1200 feet into the city they probably tell people they are from. Listen, you're not going to get shot or mugged. You're more likely to get in a car accident in the suburbs. Take it from someone who moved from Hamburg to Lovejoy: it's not that bad. Back on topic, my favorite dish is the Rouladen with spaetzel on the side. German breads start out every meal and they have a great selection of German beers and wines. The service is excellent. I've tried every German restaurant in the area, and Scharf's takes it in quality AND price.
