Menu
Lark Creek Steak opened in the autumn of 2006 at what was then the brand new Westfield San Francisco Centre. Our menu combines the best of two worlds: great steaks, seafood and chops!

Inside the Westfield Centre mall, this casual restaurant offers steakhouse fare.- Google
"Get the maytag blue cheese butter sauce with the filet mignon."
"Excellent wine list."

Update by previous 2 star review. New waiters are excellent, portion size improved. It is now earning the Michelin guide book recommendation. Wines still a little overpriced by the steaks and salmon are excellent. Salads a bit heavy. The bartender knows what he is doing with classics like a sidecar, old fashioned, gimlet, martini, ect. The barista will put a heart or tree in your cappuccino, if that matters to you.

My steak was not as good as promise in the other review i read, Wine was good (cabernet sauvignon), for a really good price. Service was a good point.

If you are looking for a good steak, this apparently is not the place. I ordered the recommended bone-in Ribeye (one of my favorite cuts). I could not even eat 1/3 of it. Poor flavor and completely fatty with difficulty to cut through the gristle. Even after mentioning this to the server (who did a very nice job), the manager never came to speak with me. There was no care about my cut of meat or my satisfaction. I just wanted a good steak while on business........very disappointing.

This is a nice sit down restaurant. Good for a date or business lunch/dinner. The flank steak is really tender and flavorful. Get a side of the whipped potatoes; smooth, buttery, and it comes with crispy onion strings. It's located in the mall so you can shop before or after you eat!

Great food and service. Weird that it's in a mall. Excellent wine list.

First off, if I'm thinking of dropping big bucks on a restaurant, the last place I'd consider going would be the mall. The journey to Lark Creek involves elevator/escalator rides, ducking under buzzing model helicopters, and passing through clouds of perfume samples. Once inside, the interior feels cavernous and dark, although stunning in design--it quickly becomes plainly obvious what the restaurant is lacking: windows. It would have been really nice if the building could have been designed with windows overlooking Market St, but no such luck. The food is great, although the portions are tiny. I felt like my pan-seared Mahi Mahi entree was an appetizer, but after polishing off all the 1/2 eaten hamburgers around the table, I was happy. Great ice cream too. Our server was very accommodating and gave us service above and beyond. On a side note, I'm adding this place to my list of 10 greatest restrooms in SF. Nothing beats having a personal TV with ESPN!

Came here once for Dine About Town and another time for a nice lunch celebration. The service was very prompt, knowledgeable, and helpful, despite how demanding we were on their types of wine. The steak salad was exquisite, but I do recommend getting it with an appetizer or dessert because the portion is quite small.
