How is it that my G+ stream is filled with game devs and yet nobody's said anything about this whole Radical/Ninja Fishing situation? http://aeiowu.com/ridiculous-prematurity/

After my initial "omg awesome" response to G+, I actually find myself sort of withdrawing back to Twitter, still. Which is weird, and I'm not sure why it is, exactly.

While I'm not 100% on board with his conclusion, this paragraph is just so full of gold:

"Where developers are willing, or in some cases even wanting to put in extra hours, I feel like this is something that needs to be more carefully considered than the “hey, if they’re willing to do it” attitude. A good producer should see the developer as a whole, and the company culture is a big part of that. If some of the team are willing and dedicated to working extra hours, then it creates a culture of overtime that can suck in those who don’t want – or worse, can’t – put in that extra time. Not to mention that there are those developers who are so dedicated to a project that they’ll literally work themselves into ill health for their passion. A good producer should get the best from their team – and often times that might mean telling someone they need to stop working and go unwind. Simply buying dinner or drinks for hard-working teams can, in some cases, be seen as treating the symptom (stress and fatigue) rather than the cause (overwork) of a problem."

'At the same time, it’s important to treat the core team like adults. "Too often you can have a parent/ child relationship between management and creatives," she said.

^ I've never really seen this perspective before, but it makes a lot of sense.

DEAR GOD YES THIS MAN IS A TREASURE
Ok so here's the deal: You like Castlevania and have played the very first of the series for the NES. You either do or do not like vintage synths. You love chiptuney music. If you agreed to at least one of these statements then do yourselves a favor and watch this vid. =) !

My venture into the land of Google Chrome lasted about a day. I like how much faster it is (oh god it's so fast) but I just can't abide an internet laden with ads.

(...unless there's an excellent AdBlock extension for Chrome?)

Trying out Google Chrome, 'cause it has the potential for some pretty sweet G+ integration. Liking it so far, but a couple of things are bugging me:

- I use Firefox's "start searching as soon as I start typing" functionality ALL THE TIME, and Chrome doesn't seem to have an equivalent?

- Chrome on Mac refuses to start up with the window maximized to the full screen size, even if that's how it was configured when last I quit.

- Is there a way to import my actual browsing history from Firefox, so that Chrome's version of the Awesome Bar is populated with all that stuff?

Any Chrome users out there with any tips for me?
